Chapter Seven

Awsten's pov

"Geoff how did you even manage to get my schedule changed?" I looked at him with my eyebrows furrowed.

He shrugs "Tinkered with the system, now you're in music with me!" He said excitedly.

"Im not gonna have to sing am I?" I groaned stuffing the paper into my backpack and lacing my fingers with Geoff's.

"Yeah.. well." He said as his voice went up an octave knowing how much I disapprove of my singing voice.

"Geoff!"

"Awsten you're a great singer! I wish you knew and understood that babe." He says pecking my cheek.

I sighed as blood rushed to my face from Geoff being the absolute sweetheart that he's been to me for weeks now.

"Okay, I'll sing I guess."

"Yay! By the way we're starting this project thing but I don't know what it is.. also Otto and a couple of the others are in this class." He says

I nod "Well, this will definitely be better than debate, even though yelling at people was fucking funny as hell."

Soon we we're in the classroom and I noticed that Louis, Harry, Zayn, Liam, Otto and Niall we're in this class with us.

"How did you get in here?" Niall asked

I shrugged "Geoff's a hacker."

"Ah, makes sense. Welcome to Music class." Niall says

"You sing?" Louis asked

"Not really, im not very good."

"That's a lie!" Geoff says

"You know it's not Geoff." I whined flailing my arms in a childish way keeping my hands hidden in my sweater sleeves.

"Now how do you know what I think is true or not Mr.Knight?" He sasses rasing an eyebrow.

I scoffed "Dont be sassy! That's my thing motherfucker." I said crossing my arms sitting in the chair in the middle of Harry and Geoff.

A couple minutes later the teacher who came in who was a woman with fiery red hair, black jeans, and red converse.

"This is the music teacher?" I whispered to Geoff

"She's like the best thing about this school." He whispers back.

She looked around doing role and saw me and was very confused. "Hm.. I don't remember having an Awsten J-"

"Mariposa, please just call him Awsten Knight." Geoff says

There he goes defending me again and making me swoon.

I slowly looked up at the woman with bright red hair and she smiled softly and wrote something down on the paper and handed me the clipboard.

"You are permanently Awsten Knight in this class, and if any of the students say anything different just let me know." She says before taking the clipboard and walking over to front of the class.

"Mariposa?" I whispered

"Only her favorite students can call her that, I've been here for awhile and she's like a mom to me." Geoff says

I nodded "Nice."

"Okay class, you know how we started talking about the group project yesterday but we didn't get to finish the conversation. Today is when you can start choosing your partners for the project."

"What project?"

"Mariposa, can you repeat what the project was?" Geoff asked smiling softly towards me after Mariposa nods making me softly slap Geoff's cheek.
