Welcoming of Us

I stand outside of our bedroom door, leaning against the ocean blue wall wringing out my hands. How could I let this happen? I mean I don't hate myself for it, but how would he react. And I have to tell him sooner or later. It's just I don't know if I have the courage yet. What the hell, the worst he can say is no.

"Hey, you okay? Are you coming to bed soon?" Alex says, poking his head out of the door.

"Yeah. Just give me a sec."

Now to see if this relationship can really last through anything.
