This world is different from the ones you know. Possibly because magic is the one thing that holds this world together. It all started with Werewolves and potions but it's bigger than that. From a man so twisted he has written a book with the darkest of potions, and has studies spells from the darkest of forms. This man's charm and charisma gave him the power to sway anyone to do his bidding and tangle the innocent into his plans. But, this man knew that if potion makers and early wizards got a hold of this book they would rip it to pieces. One look at that book could drive a man insane, so he knew he had to hide it. And with the help of two werewolves he hid it in a place where no one could find it.
"Have you finished setting up the traps?"
"Yes! Ellie and I finished it last night like you asked!"
"Well I finished it last night, all you did was make TNT Magnus."
"Tomato Potato. We got it done didn't we?"
"Excellent, are the traps already set?"
"No sir, they aren't fully functional yet. It needs one final touch. And I believe you have it in your possession."
The three walked into a cave far away from a nearby village, the cave was damp and dirty as a cave should be. But this wasn't any ordinary cave, it was a cave that the village werewolves had meetings. But tonight they were out hunting, but two of them ran off and met the man here.
The man walked over to a giant rock, almost a boulder and kicked it showing that he wanted it moved. One of the werewolves moved the boulder with ease and revealed to be a hatch underneath. He opened it and one by one they jumped it. It wasn't anything special, just a hallway held up by wooden planks. The werewolf Ellie (or Ellegaard) picked up a torch that was unlit, and she went to grab a rock to try and light it the man used a spell to light it. Instantly the corridor lit up and the three walked deeper and deeper into it.
At the end or the corridor was a round room with torches that lit up due to the mans magic. In the middle of the room was a stone pedestal with a little wooden book holder on top. Only... there was no book, it was empty. The man opened his satchel and pulled out a book. The book looked magnificent a purple cover with a gold circle in the middle, but within that gold circle was a dark pastel green ring. It may not look like much to the common eye or even one to a werewolf, but to the eyes of wizards and sorcerers they saw so much more. No words could explain what they saw, and if there was it would be a crime to say it.
The man put the book on the holder and looked to Ellegaard and Magnus (the other werewolf). The two werewolves looked at each other, their wolf tails wagging slowly.
"So boss, what's with the whole book thing?"
"Oh you fools... This book is more powerful than you could ever imagine!"
"You're starting to sound like Ellie..."
"I'm one for reading but this seems a bit excessive don't you think?"
"Classic werewolves, stupid and naive..."
"You're a Werewolf too! Your ears and tail are just tucked away!"
"Yes but I'm not a fool like you two. I'm ahead of my time, I'm seen as a traitor to my kind and humans. I'm a sorcerer, wizard, witch even! Whatever word goes through your heads. The spells I create will only cause insanity to those who read them. That is why I must lock it away, for only a master of magic like myself will be able to read it without destroying my work!"
"Those must be powerful spells..."
"Yes they are, spells that no human should get their filthy little hands on. Think of it this way, you two are helping me save the world from insanity. And even if us werewolves kill to stay alive we know better than to turn our pray to suicide."
"Whatever you say Ein... Come on we should leave so the booby traps can lock into place."
The three walked to the other end of the corridor and boosted each other out of the hole. Ein the man who wrote the book looked back down the corridor at his creation one last time before being lifted up by Ellegaard and Magnus. They shut the trapdoor, pushed the rock on top of it and exited the cave.
What happens next? Well you already know that part...
