Ignis was still frightened over the events at his festival. Who would want to kill Ein? Who would want to kidnap his fiance?
When Ein was shot with the bullet Ignis brought him to the healers to see what they could do and ordered the guards to make sure no one left the city. He wanted to find out who did this to his friend, his ally, his companion.
So one-morning Ignis went to the infirmary to check on Ein, and like the days before he was knocked out cold. "Who would do this to a king?" Ignis asked himself.
"A lot of creatures, if you're trying to be realistic." Said a dragon, she was one of the healers (A Forest Dweller) who arrived with the diplomats.
"But why?" Ignis asked. Being King is so hard...
"For many reasons my king. Maybe they wanted to kill Ein all along, or they wanted to see your reaction so they attempted an attack on your ally. We know it must've been a human, or a magic user, heck even a monkey since they love pranks. You know dragons can't hold guns, so a smaller creature must be behind this." The Forest Dweller explained, her scales shifting from bright colors to dark ones.
Ignis stared at his friend. Of course... humans. Lukas and his group of humans, they must've done this! But Ignis kept his cool, he didn't want a random healer to know what he planned to do next. "If a tiny human did shoot Ein, then why is he like this? I've seen his scars and he told me about his fights. It's almost impossible to severely harm him!"
"A silver bullet. Silver is the one thing that can truly kill a werewolf. Since this Ein ally of yours seems to have an invincibility spell on him the silver bullet will only harm him for a time. A bullet in the heart, however, can kill him. And you can see from the blood right there, they got extremely close. However, not close enough. It'll take a while for me to get the silver out of his system, but he'll live. If he wakes up, don't make him shout since the bullet went through his lung, and don't put him in harm's way. In a month or two he'll be back to his old self if I can remove the silver quickly without harming him. So really it's more or less a year. I'll be here during that time if you have questions." The Healer explained.
Ignis smiled slightly. Thank Starfinder, they missed. "Ah, thank you... erm..."
"Jax, short for Jaguarundi, long for Ja." The Healer giggled. "Sorry, that's just a joke I do. You can call me whichever Your Highness. Though Jax or Jack will be easier to remember." Jax shifted her scales back to their blond color and did a little bow before leaving the room, leaving Ignis and Ein alone.
I'll make those humans pay, Ein. You'll see, they'll all see that I can be just a good a king as you would be! Ignis bowed his head but jumped back in shock and fear when Eins eyes snapped open and he was smiling back at him. "I know you will Ignis," he said weakly.
"We'll both make them pay for thinking that they could kill me."
