I placed my hands on the bars and looked at him. He slowly walked towards the cage, and my wings twitched in nervous anticipation. The man knelt down again and looked into my eyes. His expression now held a sympathetic gaze.

"I don't know what you went through, and I am not going to try to imagine. But, we are here to take you away from here, and help you." He said.

My stomach growled once more, and I knew I'd never make it on my own. So, I carefully stood up and stepped out. But that was it for my stability.  The man caught me and carried me out.

"She fainted." The man said to many onlookers.

"Let go of my daughter!" Elliot exclaimed and turned the field silent.

"Well, that is a bit more interesting." The black man said.

A few salt filled tears escaped the corner of my eyes.

"Don't worry. He won't hurt you or anyone else again." Will assured me with an attempt at a smile.

I closed my eyes as I drifted off into another sleep, resting my head on someone's shoulder.
