Last night was crazy. Boram Hyung almost died from alcohol poisoning. He was probably planning to kill himself with that gun, which we still have no clue where the heck it came from.I put him on the couch last night; when I woke up he was gone. There was a note on the fridge:
미안하다 남동생. 나는 당황. 나중에 돌아올거야. - 보람
Sorry, little bros. I'm embarrassed. I'll be back later.- Boram
I leave it on the fridge for Byeong to see when he woke up, and start making banchan for everyone, leaving extra for if Hyung got home soon. Naver has been teaching me all types of stuff lately. I don't want Gwanghui and Sora eating the same thing every day like we usually do. I want them to feel comfortable so they can feel better quicker. Not that I'm rushing them or anything; I actually enjoy their company. It's just, we still don't know why all that stuff happened to them, and they sure aren't rushing to tell us anything. It makes me uncomfortable not knowing what happens to the people living under our roof.
I put everything out on the table times four but make sure to leave space for Boram. Gwanghui woke up Byeongsu then helped Sora out of bed while I put fresh rice in everyone's bowls.
Sora has been healing so quickly. If I didn't know better she was a mermaid. She must've been super healthy before the incident. Gwanghui sits beside me, Sora and Byeong across from us.
"Thank you, Mr. You didn't have to cook up all this, though. I would've eaten whatever you made." She bowed her head as thanks and dug into the soup I made.
"Don't worry about it. And you can call me Bitna or Bit, I'm not that much older than you." She was always so polite and helpful once she was able to walk normally again. Her family must have raised her to call everyone even a second older than her Mr. or Ms. We've been going over this since she got here.
Sora picked through her soup and vegetables and ate half her rice, then excused herself from the table. She hasn't been eating anything; I know it's not the food's taste, but more of the fact that she is limiting herself for some reason. As if she was on a diet. I'm afraid if she gets any thinner she'll become skin and bones. She couldn't eat anything but liquids for about two weeks when we first found her. I'll have to get Gwang to get it out of her for me, or even Boram Hyung. She trusts him most.
Byeong cleaned up the food when we finished, reluctantly excepting Gwanghui's plea to help him. I took a shower then told everyone I was going to walk around the neighborhood. Su didn't want me to go alone; he knew where I was going. But we can't leave Gwang and Sora unprotected, so I told him to just clean up the house.
Opening Boram's room door, I'm greeted by darkness. Leaving the door open for light, I walk up to the left side of the bed, where Sora is fast asleep. I look at her face; her chin is sharp and her jaw clenches as she dreams. She furrowed her eyebrows and tightened her eyes shut till the pink of her skin flushed away and she was as pale as she would be dead. She must be having a nightmare. I rub her shoulder with my thumb for a moment or two and her features relax, the pink flowing back into her. When she looked at ease, I checked on Gwanghui and left the room, then the house.
