January 2019 seemed to be when the girl's life changed. And would forever be different. The girl had an account on an app, one that she may not have taken seriously. But this boy and his dog just stole her heart right off the bat. He was funny and kind, not to mention incredibly handsome. His messages made her smile and she knew that she had to meet him. As soon as she saw him and heard him say "hello," she knew. She knew they were going to be something amazing. She was home on Christmas break, she was not expecting to find love. But they say the best things in life come at the most unexpected times. She will always remember the night he said he loved her, she was leaving the next day to go back to college and he grabbed her hand and they sat on his bed and when she looked in his eyes, she saw the love the boy was voicing.

She smiles when she sees his messages, and looks forward to their conversations. Trust seems to come easily, she told him things she's never told anyone. She could cry on his shoulder and he'd be there to wipe away the tears. His arms feel like safety and he makes sure to tell her just how beautiful she is, everyday. Seeing his smile gives the girl the feeling of ten thousand butterflies in her stomach.

Days turned to weeks, and weeks turned to months. And they grew closer and it seemed like all the shit they went through together, just strengthened their bond. The girl trusted him, and that was something new. The last person she trusted, hurt her in more ways than imaginable. The boy gave her hope, and she needed it.

People say that it's one in a million to find someone who will care about you no matter what and will love unconditionally, but the girl found it, in that boy. He represented happiness, hope, kindness, trust and everything she'd been needing. Their hands fit together perfectly, their smiles are equally as big and when the girl looks over and sees her boy, her heart skips a beat. Especially when he's already looking at her with a smile on his face. She loves that she can be herself around him and that he is just as goofy as she is. She goes to bed every night, knowing just how much he loves her. She also knows he would do anything to make her smile. The boy makes the girl feel like a princess.

She has accomplished so many things and even if she didn't think they were important, he was there to prove her wrong. They laugh together, they trust each other and most importantly they love each other.

All her flaws seem to disappear when she talks to him, he makes her feel loved, special and beautiful. Which has helped her in ways she will never be able to thank him for. He's become her family, the one person in her life who always seems to amaze her. She loves him more than she's ever loved anyone. She is forever grateful for him coming into her life, even if it was just a glitch of an app. Because she's found her person, her one and her partner in crime through thick and thin.

Her whole life seemed like an endless storm and she just needed shelter, and she finally found it. She found her comfort, safety and warmth with the boy.

I guess you could say, she came home.
