Chance Dougherty spent his whole high school being infatuated with Lee Schneider, his neighbor who he barely talks to.
It was graduation day when he last saw her, before moving away to study in New York City.
So when he stumbled upon her working in a diner not far off his new home five years later, he was wonderstruck at the sight of her once again.
Just like in graduation day, he wanted to have a chance. But he was destroyed by seven simple words.
