Chapter 3
Lexie Wilsons point of view
After all the crying I had taken a nap on Seth in the living room on the couch. His mother had walked in and saw that my face was still wet from tears. "What did you do now?" she had sort of an angry tone while being loud which had woke me up. When she looked at me she had a worried look on her face, but when she looked at him it was like he was an uncle who did something stupid and that she was the Bruce who can't stand him.
I didn't want her to see that I knew something was up, but I just had to figure out what. She probably thought that Seth had done something to make me cry, but why would she ask what he had done "now"? "It wasn't him ma'am it was one of my friends, well, old friend." She looked at him now with a smile on her face; not one of those happy smiles but one of the relieved smiles like when you finally finish all your that you had for the past week. "Ok then, but are you ok sweetie?" she had asked in a relieved voice. I really needed too figure out what it was bothering her and Seth before I go crazy about it.
After I had finally gotten up and rinsed off my face we went to the car to drive me home. On the drive to my house he kept mumbling to himself quietly, I guess so I wouldn't hear him. I heard something about "being a good person" and "not again". He never did look at me on the way there, and it worried me after what he had said about hide and seek.
We got to my house at about 2:49pm. He turned off the car and got out quickly. As we walked up to the door I intertwined our fingers; he had just went along with it. I unlocked the door, but before I could walk in he pulled me to the side up against the wall and put his forehead to mine. His breathing was faster than usual, and his expression was looking down at the with his forehead still on mine. He looked at me straight in the eyes and quickly but calmly said "i'm so sorry". He ran off to his car and drove onto the highway really fast. As I chased the car down the driveway I thought to myself "what, why."
A tear started down my face followed by another and by many others.
