Chapter 6
Lexie Wilson's point of view
I woke up from a loud screaming noise from downstairs, then the door slammed shut. I was afraid of what might happen if I went down there, but Seth could be in trouble again. So I ran downstairs to find a broken vase and Mrs.Sanders cleaning up the mess. "Is everything ok Mrs.Sanders?" I asked in a frightened way. I hoped she hadn't seen that I was afraid, but it was like it had been tattooed on my forehead because it was so obvious.
She looked up at me weigh puffy eyes and a small grin on her face. She was crying and there was something wrong, but she wasn't going to tell me about it. "Its ok, but my vase broke when I bumped into it and that made me cry because it was my mother's." I knew that she was lying, but I didn't let her know that. I played it off as if I had been down here and saw her do it. "Ok then, I was just making sure you're ok."
She walked over to the garbage and through all of the broken pieces away a if they meant nothing to anyone. She went and washed her hands so that she cook breakfast. There was only one thing I couldn't comprehend about this morning. "Where's Seth?" and that's when she dropped her towel onto the counter in a forcible way. She turned around to me with a smile that looked angry and confused and also sad.
As she looked at me she got closer and then gently shrugged her shoulders and closed her eyes a few second longer than usual. "That boy could be anywhere now." I looked at her in a surprised way as she just walked back over there and shrugged it off. He could be tryin to butt himself or end up crying in a dark alley again. He's probably all alone bloody and scared.
I looked outside to see wether I should wear a tank top or a t-shirt, and then I noticed that Seth's car was still there. I tried to call him, but his phone was right beside the bed. I squinted my eyes and made a confused frown because he never goes anywhere without his phone. I should know because one time when we had a party to go to once, we were already five minutes late butt he just had to turn around and get his phone.
What was going on? Could he be in trouble? Should I track him down with the thing his mom has? I don't know, but whatever it was I had to figure it out soon. I ran outside with my old band t-shirt and some shorts on while still putting on my converse. I started walking down the road to his favorite places because I didn't want to believe he might actually be in that alley again.
As I walked down the road, which felt like the longest road in the world, I heard someone calling my name out. I turned around for a glimpse, and saw who it was so I turned away. A frown covered my face as I thought about them, but at the same time I wanted that person to come up to me.
"Hey can I give you a ride?" says a pale girl in a black sierra Honda with big brown eyes and little pug nose. She wasn't exactly skinny, but she wasn't exactly fat mainly because her boobs evened her out. Her hair was black with blue underneath, and her bangs covered half her face. It wasn't layered completely and not at all on her bangs which were flat. She was wearing a band t-shirt and skinny Jeans as usual.
I should completely hate her guts right now and just keep walking on, but I really needed to figure out why she had been mad and ignoring me. I didn't want her to know that I wanted to get in the car, so I kept a straight face and played it off cool. "Well my feet do hurt." a big smile came upon her face. "I guess I could Samantha." I tried to keep the smile off my face, but I just couldn't so I his my face underneath my huge hair.
As I sat in the car she looked at me and asked where I was going. "I'm not sure, anywhere Seth might be." she clenched her fists up and then let them go. She looked at me in an awkward way."Do you really believe that you love him?"she leaned in to look at me. Before I knew it, her bottom lip had merged with my top. The worse part about it was....
....my eyes rested to the rhythm of our lips and tongues merging.
