The Third Race

Lynn's P.O.V
They were sad for sure, Kate and James. Kate had the more obvious sadness, crying out loud, and James tried to stay strong, probably because he tried to impress me, and try to brighten my mood. Fake mood, to be exact. I was so close to killing them in their sadness, but something kept stopping me. If Raven was still alive, which was probably a 0.5% chance, he would just kill me and defeat the Boss on his own. I needed confirmation. Not from headquaters, they think he is really dead. But I know Raven better than anyone else. I have watched him make plans throughout the whole adventure. He is smart. But I still have to escape. Now without Raven's help. And then the Boss can help me return to headquaters. I actually have 23.000 CR, so I could surpass the 10th and 9th Most Wanted Player. But I'd rather defeat the 1st, and then probably cheat the system a bit so I can escape and the others will be trapped forever.

James' P.O.V

I cursed, that got me a death stare from Lynn. If Raven isn't here, how could we escape? I looked on the map for any races that had good rewards. With my 8.000 CR I couldn't really surpass any of the Most Wanted players, but with a good reward I might. Then I saw it. 10.000 CR. A hard Sprint Race. I liked the Sprint Races. And with my fast car I could probably get to 5th. Then I have to get rough. I drove to the race. There were 16 contestants. I started as 11th. I saw Lynn too at 9th. And as I turned my head and watched the other contestants drive in, I saw Kate there too, who got 15th as a start. I didn't really know why they were in this race. Probably because of the 10.000 CR. But I won't let them take it.

Kate's P.O.V
The whole squad was in the race. Well, whole without Raven. It still was sad. How could he have died? He was the smartest of the whole squad, always was first with a plan. And we were still doing what he told us. the start gun wass shot and everyone emptied their nitro tank, except me. Raven teached me how to win even the most extreme races. I was kind of scared the first few moments, but Raven knew a few bits and pieces of cars, so he helped me get the best racing tactic. While the others were fighting over 1st, I slowly advanced, not using nitro. My base speed was enough for now. The other players were using short bursts to stay ahead of everyone.

Lynn's P.O.V
I didn't get first the fastest, but with my bursts, I became first in no time. Then out of nowhere Kate boosted through the crowd, leaving players in the gut and against trees if they tried to ram her. I revved my engine to go faster, but I couldn't. I was already on my maximum speed. Then she drove next to me. I boosted a few short bursts and she seemed to lose against me. Her base speed wasn't enough. I kept boosting short bursts.

Kate's P.O.V
Lynn tried, but failed. Raven told me to read the other players, see what their patterns are, and find weaknesses in their patterns. I saw I had a full nitro tank again. I boosted it empty and raced past Lynn and finished first. She isn't going to get the 100.000 CR. I will help Raven and defeat her.
