I LAY AWAKE facing the ceiling thinking wow! Tomorrow I'm leaving. My parents, my memories of school,my adorable sister and annoying brother(but the greatest one on earth)and most of all the feeling of home
Depressing huh? Ok let me tell you what's going on. I'm a high school graduate from Africa and by tomorrow I'll be on a plane leaving for California.
I have so many mixed feelings like paranoia because anything can happen there. Relief that at least I get to go through this journey with my best friend Lyn. Lyn is my best friend since seventh grade. I'm also excited and afraid. Excited because it will be my first time on a plane and fear for I am absolutely afraid of heights.
I change the position I'm laying in to one where I use my hand as a pillow , thousands of thoughts running through my mind until I finally dose off.
