Trying To Hide the Obvious

Chapter 8 Friendship

There was an annoucment today at lunch.  Anyone wanting to try out for the school musical should stay after school today.  I thought I should try out.  In PE today, we ran the mile.  I got the second fastest time.  Of course, now I'm exhausted.  After PE, I walk into the commons.  That is where the auditions were to be held.  I take a seat at one of the tables and wait for the music director.

When she finally comes, she says that everyone who showed up would be in the play.  That  made me happy.  She individually took each one of us into her office. While I was waiting for my turn, Tayloran walks up to me.  I decide that I can finally talk to her.

We talk until her name gets called.  When she goes into the director's office, I am left alone.  When she comes back out, she gives meher phone number, and then she leaves.

Right after she leaves, the music director calls my name.  She tells me to sing a songfrom a book she handsme.  I do, and then I leave.  I go out side and get into the car.  I had had a very tiring day.  I finally start up the car and drive to the store.  I needed to pick up some groceries.

When I get home, I call Tayloran.  We talk for a little bit.  I find it a safe bet that she is now my friend.  I make plans to go to the beach with her Saturday.

I wake upon Saturday morning feeling a little bit nervous.  I had allready begun to show a little bit for some reason, and nowI was going to be taking my shirt off in front of another girl.  I get into the shower.

After my shower, I put on a light blue sun dress over my bathing suit.  This dress is one of my  favorite things to wear.  Then, I putmy hair up in a pony tail.  I put a towel and my camera into my back pack.  Then, I go to pick up Tayloran.

When we get to the beach, we lay our towels out on the ground and take our closeoff.  Then we lay down in the sun and sun bathe for a little while.  We talk as we lay there.  Tayloran tellsme about her family.  She has a big family.

After we get done sun bathing, we go swimming.  Then, I take her back home.  Ihad had a good day so far.  It was about four pm.  I go home and print off the pictures I took while we where at the beach.  They looked okay.  I liked the pictures of me and Alex more.

That night, I call Mike and Alex.  I hadn't called them all week.  They seemed happy to hear from me.  After I talked to them, I went to bed.

I woke up at six thirty Monday morning.  By the time I was ready for school, it was time to leave.  When Iget to school, I go straight to homeroom.  Homeroom and Chemistry were kind ofboring today. However, it was Biology I wanted to get to.

When I do get to Biology, I am dead set on talking tothe boy that sits next to me.  I have learned that his name is Chris.  However, Chris isn't there when the bell rings.  I decide to talk to him tomorow.
