"I was new to Paris; we have just moved there. Since my parents didn't want me to be influenced by other people, I was home-schooled. One day, my mom had a modeling appointment, and I came along. That's when I met you. You were my only friend. Then, I had to move. And that's when I realized that I liked you, and had to tell you how I felt. But, you completely rejected me. That's why I'm so cold-hearted to you, Adrien." I explained, doing my best to not crack.

Adrien looked shocked.

"I have no memory of this. When did you say you moved?" Adrien asked.

"I moved when I was ten. I moved in perhaps when I was eight." I sadly said.

"Oh..." Adrien's voice trailed off as he said that.

"How am I not surprised? I mean, I apparently wasn't a large influence in your life, since you don't remember me." I said, before grabbing my bag, and stomping out of the mansion, and heading back to mine.

When I arrived, Mr. Thomas tried to see what was wrong, and asked if I'd like a drink, but I declined, and isolated myself in my room, trying to hold back tears.

But, once I was in my room, tears started to slide down faster and faster.

Elise then came out.

"I heard the whole thing, and I can understand why you're upset. But, here's my question; why did you tell him?" Elise asked.

"I had no choice; Adrien wouldn't let me leave until I told him. Plus, I was hoping that he would... He would..." More tears fell down the more I talked.

"Would what?" Elise asked.

"Would be sorry for what he did?" I asked, more than stated.

"(y/n), I know that this is a hard time for you. But, you can't let this sadness overtake you, or you'll be akumatized." Elise said in a harsh yet comforting way.

"You're right, Elise. I need to continue to be cold, and hide my emotions even more." I said, while wiping away my tears, and sighing

"That's not what I meant. And (y/n), maybe it's time that you should stop being so cold towards everyone. It can't be healthy for your mental health." Elise suggested.

"Whose side are you on!?" I yelled.

"Yours." Elise said.

"Well, you sure aren't acting like it." I stated in a harsh and cold manner.

Elise sighed, before going to my mini cooler, to eat an ice-cream sandwich.

I then sat on my bed, and began to think. Just how could Adrien be so evil?

***

"Mama! Why do I have to go with you to your modeling appointment?" I asked.

"Because, no one can watch you. I promise that you'll have fun." Mother reassured me.

"And if I don't?" I questioned.

"I'll... Buy you some ice-cream..." Mother said.

My eyes lit up.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yes. Now, let's go." Mother said.

"Okay." I said, with a grin.

After we arrived, I was seated in a room; away from mother. That's when I noticed a lady watching a young boy with blonde hair and green eyes.

Being the friendly person I am, I walked up to the young boy.

"Hey! I'm (y/n). Who are you?" I asked.

"Adrien." The young boy said.

"Cool! Want to play with me? I'm really, really bored!" I said, emphasizing on 'really'.

Adrien the turned to the lady next to him.

"May I please play with (y/n)?" Adrien asked.

"Yes. Just stay within my sight." The lady said.

"Thank you!" Adrien said.

"Come on, let's go!" I said, before pulling Adrien away.

***

I sighed, as I remembered the good times. After meeting Adrien, we became best friends. We were always there for each other.

... That's when I learned the bad news.

***

"We're what!?" I asked, as tears started to form.

"I'm so sorry Sweetie, but we have to move for your dad's work." Mother explained.

"But... Adrien..." I whispered.

"I know it'll be hard for you. But, things will turn out; I promise." Dad said.

***

I then ran off to my room, too young to go anywhere else. It was hard to leave. And that's when I realized that I loved Adrien, and just had to tell him. On the day of the move, that's when it all went down.

***

"We'll give you ten minutes to say goodbye to Adrien." Mom said.

"Thanks." I said, before running up to the front door.

The worker let me in, and I ran to Adrien's room. I knocked, and Adrien let me in.

"So... You're moving..." Adrien said, with a frown.

"Yeah. But, there's something you should know." I said, a blush beginning to form.

"What is it?" Adrien asked.

"I... I really like you. Like, I love you! And, I was wondering if you felt the same way. If so, we could try to keep in touch and-"

"I'm sorry; but I don't feel the same way." Adrien said.

"Wait, what?" I said, shocked.

"I mean, you're not worthy to be with me, because, you're not rich like me." Adrien coldly said.

Tears started to come to my eyes.

"Does the amount of money really matter in love?" I asked, choking on my words.

"It does. At least, that's what my father tells me. And he'd never steer me wrong." Adrien said.

That's when I completely lost control of my tears. I then ran out of Adrien's house, and ran to the car.

"(y/n), are you okay?" Mother asked.

"I just... Am sad to leave. Let's go." I said.

Both my parents gave me a hug, before my dad started driving off.

***

Adrien completely shattered me. He torn me apart. I still remember what I told myself all those years ago.

***

I've been hurt, abused, abused. To pervert this from happening, I must become an emotionless being; cold, and harsh; to prevent myself from being hurt once more.

***

And ever since that day, I've been doing just that. I then looked at my phone, to see that it was late. Might as well get to bed, since tomorrow will be another torturous day.

Might as well just get it over with.
