A.N: I do not own the movie or book versions of MPHFPC.I only own some of this plot, Miss Dove's home and Mary Birch.

"Mary "I heard Nurse Callaway call.

I gently lifted my body to an upright position.

"Come see Santa"

She then gently pulled me to stand whilst I just stared at the creepy Santa in front of me.Something was wrong. There was something off about that Santa.Especially with his eyes. They were a think shade of milky white. Before I knew it, Nurse Callaway had lifted me into the arms of the stranger and walked away to the girl in the bed next to me.

"Well, well, well.I can practically smell peculiarity reeking out of you.And you're so drugged up that you can't fight back.I have a little friend who would just love those pretty eyes of yours."He whispered to me

I did not like the sound of that and began to squirm in his arms.

"Stop you stupid girl."

And with one violent jerk, I tumbled out of arms and tried to sprint out of that godforsaken ward.

"Come back here!" I heard nurses yell and a piercing wailing echoed in the air.The alarm.

I ran down the corridors. The continuous alarm making my head pound. It felt like I was running anyway. It might have been a slow jog if anything.I wasn't meant to be here.I wasn't insane. But I had lifted a vase without touching it.No one could do that.I was just different. Peculiar. Abnormal. It wasn't my fault.I continued to run.Other children, pale and stick thin, slowly lifting their heads from their positions to take a brief glance at me and then continue to lay on their beds.It was a monstrosity to look at.So many children with a life ahead of them just sitting here slowly fading away into a shell of a person. The screams where no help either. Echoing wherever I ran. This will not happen to me.As I 'run' down another long hallway, boys and girls alike once again lining the hallways, this place was rammed with children. Suddenly, I spotted something peculiar.A dove.A soft snowy white dove. But what was even more peculiar is that it was sitting in a branch of a tree, the tree that was wedged into the gap between the glass and the window frame.I had some energy.I could break the glass.I just needed something sharp.I felt a cold hand grasp my shoulder. It was Nurse Callaway. She handed me a rock and kissed me on the head and I knew what she wanted me to do.

I grasped it in my palm and swung it with all the force I could.Luckily it was enough and the window smashed.Nurses and Doctors clambering to get to me as I slipped out of the shattered frame and thumped onto the hard ground below me and began to run into the woods.

After what seemed like hours of running I stopped.I could barely see any civilisation. Trees leafless, swaying in the muddled chill of the wind; the sun dapples and bends its way through the skeletal branches with afternoon's amber light.I suddenly heard a rustling of feathers and I turned around.

"Hello Miss Birch"

"Um hello"

"I am Miss Dove and I am going to take you to a place just for people just like you."
