What It Takes to Be Infinite.

After Tails and the other Sonic got settled Tails began to explain things.

"Eggman said when the plan is complete, we'll all be wiped out." Tails said

"I don't like the Sound of that, normally I'd laugh at an Eggman plan, but he's already conquered most of the world, so... what's this plan of his?" Knuckles asked

Liarel looked at him leaning against the wall listening in.

"Hey, I hate to butt in on your important meeting, but we're under attack!" Vector stated. "Shadow is tearing through our troops! We need reinforcements."

Liarel pricked up to that and her eyes narrowed, Sonic looked over to her before he replied. "Shadow... the last time I saw him he was fighting for Eggman..." he said

Liarel looked at him funny she told him that was not the real Shadow but then she realized what he was doing and kept quite.

"That doesn't make sense... way would Shadow Help the enemy?" Knuckles asked

"Perhaps he's being controlled by that strange power?" Silver asked looking at him.

"Whatever it is I'll figure it out." Sonic said

"Hey... why not take Liarel with you?" Knuckles asked

Liarel's eyes narrowed to that she growled lowly only Sonic heard her before he said. "That might not be a good Idea... she didn't give me details but she has a... history with Shadow." he said

"More than any of you know." she suddenly spoke.

The team stopped and looked at her they never thought she was talk to them at all they were stunned. "I'll be back in a flash." Sonic said and left the area.

Liarel just wanted him leave she sighed before she left the room she knew he would mostly bring Shadow back here and she didn't want to see him she hated that Black and Red Hedgehog.

Later in the day Liarel was in the room that the resistance gave her to stay in she was setting things up for herself she was just getting herself more comfortable around the others now but she still didn't really talk to them fully only that once on the mention of Shadow.

She soon got settled down resting her head on the pillow of the bed looking up at the ceiling thinking of what to do next and how she was going to fight against Eggman to get Infinite back, the female Jackal was just about to fall asleep before someone came into the room.

"You?!"

Liarel jumped hearing the voice she sat up and looked to see the one Hedgehog she didn't want to see she then glared at him before she saw Sonic behind him he had a look like he was trying to say that he tried to stop him from finding her.

"What are you doing here?!" Shadow asked

Liarel just looked at him. "What do you think?!" she growled back

Liarel got up from the bed but never taking her eyes off Shadow the whole time Sonic could feel tension between the two of them.

"I don't even know how you are even alive." Shadow said

"I have survived worse than your attacks!" Liarel stated. "I hoped never to see you again!"

Shadow just growled at her and Sonic moved in to try and calm the both of them down. "Ok um... that is all in the past I am sure we can all get along now right?" he asked

Shadow looked at him like he was crazy. "You expect me to get along with the one who fought for Infinite?" he asked

"Wait what?!"
