Octavius is the pure definition of asshole, he always has shit to say about someone, not caring if their feelings get hurt. He's blunt and honest about almost everything, he has even called his ex-wife fat on several occasions when they were together. He likes things to be done his way and he likes to see fast results, people disobeying him or making his wait just makes him more irritated than he already is. The only time he seems to be at peace is when he's painting out in nature or is just outside by himself in general and visiting the grave of the first born he thought he lost.

Though Octavius grew up an extremely privileged child, he still had the responsibility of being the poster boy for the monarchy and the spitting image of a future king. He had the best tutors and access to the largest library in the world, but didn't have that many friends. His father believed that friends were just a distraction, so the only children of his age he was able to interact with were his family members. Young Octavius was a surprisingly sweet boy who tried his best in everything, even tried to interact with the lower classes despite his father's extreme distaste for anyone not of pure gold heritage. All of that sweetness slowly began to take a turn when his father died and Octavius was forced to take the throne at the young age of 17. He was quickly married to his beautiful cousin after a few months of being engaged, believing they were going to be happy couple. Then Octavius was given another huge responsibility at a young age, the responsibility of fatherhood. He was just as unbelievably excited as his wife and his subjects, that is until rumors of his wife being with another man and the baby possible not being his, began to reach his ear. He became distant and cold towards his wife, verbally abused her and accused her being unfaithful. After the baby was born, something terrible happened, making the young king believed he had lost his first born. This loss only made him worse and finding out his "loving" wife could never give him another heir made sure that any light that was still in his heart would never be shown to anyone again. The only time you can ever see his "sweet" side his when he visits his first son's empty grave and reads books to him.
