Mimic

Despair

Valeriya didn't know what to do other then sit on her driveway and sulk. First there was all the drama about Toxic Waste which Valeriya couldn't do much to help not having much practice with her powers, then there was Rosa who was a complete mess ever since her sister died a couple days ago, Lila was just as bad having already gone into a depression like state at her sister's disappearance, and Fuschia was getting constant flashbacks. " Hey Valeriya how are you?" A voice asked and she turned to see Sasha had come to join her with Valentina at her side. Her and Valentina had been the only ones she really talked to anymore. She occasionally talked to Liliya, but she was busy trying to track down Mimic with Astrid and Zia. " You should already know the answer to that, but I am grateful that all of this happened over a weekend." Valeriya gave a weak laugh. " We aren't going to lose anyone else Valeriya, I'm going to make sure of that." Sasha spoke confidently. " We'll make sure of it." Valentina corrected giving Sasha a teasing smile. " You can't control death Sasha, but Lord knows we've had enough of it so hopefully he will pitty us." Valeriya said giving her a weak smile. " Speaking of hopeful have you managed to convince Amelia to stay?" Sasha asked. Amelia had decided to stay with Rosa and Alyssia, but after her death Amelia blamed herself for not being there for her. So she had went after Mimic as soon as she heard the word about Alyssia which Valeriya was honestly a little shocked about. " No she left almost as soon as I told her." Valeriya sighed frustration clear in her voice." That's weird usually Amelia is smart and doesn't let  feelings cloud her mind." Valentina frowned. "I think she's seen enough death after all her parents died and now Alyssia "all because she couldn't save them." That would be enough to even make me go after the killer of the person who cared for me when no one else seemingly did." Valeriya told them her thinking. "That seems likely enough,but how are we going to find them or Mimic ?"Sasha asked. "Simple we don't." a new voice said and she turned to see Liliya had arrived her light blue eyes had black bags underneath them. "Surely you aren't thinking of letting Mimic to continue to take more of are friends lives until we are all dead!" Sasha shouted her purple eyes showing behind her green contacts as her anger rose. " What else am I supposed to do Sasha! Every night I'm having brutal nightmares of her killing people. First it was Alyssia, then Amelia and Samantha, even you Sasha. You're not getting involved." Liliya growled her eyes were filled with an unusual anger. " That's basically suicide alone Lil so you better be bringing Zia and one of your Aunts or one of the other powerful people." Valeriya commented already seeing Liliya's plan of action as Valentina and Sasha gave her confused. " How did you know I was going to face her alone." Liliya glared at Valeriya. " Am I seriously the only one who knew you would go after her. You're powerful, have a score to settle with Toxic Waste, and you're one if not the most loyal person I have ever met. Put all of that along with your guilt and you get the answer in big bold letters." Valeriya shrugged. " So what's your plan, because it's obvious mine isn't the best." Liliya asked her voice practically begged her for a better answer. " I never said I had a better one. My plan was to get you, Dawn who is smart and pretty powerful, Samantha since she knew Mimic, Katrina and Zia being the powerhouse of the operation, Celestia for both her control and her smarts, and Aqualia who can fight really well." Valeriya said giving a nervous smile.
" Samantha isn't here anymore though." Valentina pointed out redundently. " Which is why I am going. I might not be the best on the field, but Lila told me a lot about Mimic before she knew who she was. I also know Samantha I'm your best replacement." Valeriya spoke softly voicing the idea she hated so much, but saw the need for it. " You'll need transportation and I'll follow you either way so you might as well let me come." Sasha said her eyes held determination and strength. " There's no way I'm going to convince you otherwise is there?" Liliya sighed.
"Nope." Sasha chripped as she joined them. " Well I guess that leaves me with taking care of our home. Promise me you all will try your best to stay safe and out of trouble." Valentina asked the last comment was directed towards Sasha. "We'll  try our best." Valeriya promised before Sasha started teleporting them to the locations of everyone they were picking up. They came to Celestia's last and Katrina had agreed, but Celestia was hesitant to leave their group without any support, because Valentina could only do so much. Valeriya sighed seeing her point, but Celestia was one of the best of their friend group and she really hadn't wanted to bring Astrid, because of Kore. " I'll help. After all I do have a forgotten history with her." A soft voice spoke and the looked over to the left where Fuschia was leaned against the wall. " Nerocongtive Defcit could be helpful against Mimic for it can slow her down, but are you ready for something like this?" Dawn asked her and Fuschia frowned for a second before nodding. " I'm also an illusionist which you are short of." Fuschia said giving a small grin.
" Alright Sasha make us a portal to Asheville, North Carolina to Grove Park Neighborhood just North of downtown Asheville." Valeriya told her. She must of been specific enough for Sasha nodded and they all held hands before she felt the sinking feeling in her gut that Sasha's teleporting always brought and they were whisked away to North Carolina.
