Zia was nervous following Valeriya's instructions and listening to her knowledge. For one reason there was the fact that over the last 10 minutes they had been in North Carolina this is the most Zia's ever heard her talk. The second being that Valeriya wasn't a leader no matter how smart she was she hated being the one to make the tough calls and there was no avoiding that. The last reason being Valeriya probably wasn't emotionly prepared for it. Hell even she wasn't emotionally prepared to lead them all to their impending doom. " So what exactly is this place we're going to?" Zia asked wanting to go in prepared.
" I'm taking you to the ruins of the lab Lila, Samantha, Mimic, and Fuschia all were at. I thought it would be a good start." Valeriya spoke softly as she walked towards the wooded area next to the neighborhood Sasha had teleported them to. " Smart, but what if we don't find anything. After all you said this place was in ruins." Dawn asked her eyes were filled with uncertainty. " I can find her from there." Fuschia spoke up her voice was confident even though she was certain she didn't know that for sure.
" You sure about that, you go into flashbacks everytime you think of labs let alone go in them." Aqualia hissed her voice was almost toxic sounding and Zia gave the assassin a small glare. " Aqualia does bring a point though she could of worded it better. Do you have your flashbacks under control?" Liliya asked her voice was one of concern instead of accusing. " We don't have any other choice. Though I wouldn't worry about it until we get to the labs." Fuschia growled out in annoyance.
" We're here." Valeriya's voice spoke up before anyone else could say anything. In front of them was a large lab complex made of a cracked white stone. There was plants growing on the sides making it look like it hadn't been used in centuries instead of five years. " Doesn't look like much." Zia commented as they walked inside Dawn supplying a light with her powers so they could see. " Follow me, they should still have the secret labs underneath the complex." Valeriya said ignoring Zia's comment. They followed her through the complex and Aqualia quietly spoke exit strategies to her incase they were followed by anyone. Finally the came to a destroyed room that had books flung everywhere and the couple of bookcases remaining standing were metal. They were secured with metal straps and one had a little electric box next to it. " Fuschia does your illision power allow you to copy others?" Valeriya questioned removing the panel to reveal a place where a hand scanner was. " No." She said shaking her head. " Great then we came here for nothing." Sasha sighed frustrated.
" She might not be able to, but I definitely can. Though I need to know who I'm shifting into." Zia announced and they all raised their eyebrows at her. " I thought you could only do shadows and familiars?" Sasha commented confused.
" Originally I was a shapeshifter/familiarst, but Toxic Waste expirments gave me Brakiokensis and animal shifting." Zia shrugged before waiting for a response. " Dr Lewis worked here. I can give you a clear mental image of him." Fuschia spoke and Zia nodded preparing herself to see the image. Soon a tall Caucasian male appeared in her sight with raven black hair and cold dark brown eyes that made her want to shiver. He wore the stereotypical lab coat with a dark blue shirt, black pants, and black flats. She morphed into him and she heard them all gasp. " That is freaky." Liliya finally commented after a couple of minutes of silence. " When is it not with us now move." Zia growled though her voice came out an octave deeper then it usually was as she placed her hand on the scanner allowing the bookshelf straps to sink into the walls as the bookshelf dissapered into the ceiling. Valeriya walked down the now visible staircase with Zia trailing the back as she changed back to herself. " You were amazing." Aqualia grinned from in front of her. " Just using my talents." Zia shrugged until they reached the bottom of the stairs She gasped looking at the high tech hallways the room looking nothing like the above areas. " They must of repaired everything after I destroyed it all." Fuschia commented her eyes were distant as if she wasn't quite here. " How you have mind deficit not fire powers." Katrina pointed out and Zia had forgotten she had come considering she barley ever talked without Celestia there. " I manipulate people's decisions. I basically got into the scientists minds allowing them to free the dangerous gifted and they destroyed it for me. Unfortunately I was heavily guarded and couldn't escape with them." Fuschia frowned at the memory. " You destroyed this place yes, but you didn't destroy our best and most secure room." A voice boomed and Fuschia froze. " Dr Manstien." Fuschia whispered her voice quavered. " Hello my girl I see you remember me through that amnesia of yours. While you were at the other lab I finished the final steps on Mimic making her the perfect learner. All the powers without the emotion or control problems." His voice laughed. " She's a robot not a Learner." Liliya growled. " Ahh yes Miss Liliya Shade, I was the one who ordered your parents murder. I couldn't risk the Fischer sisters reuniting they were way too powerful to have in one place or even alive so I traded Calissa for Fuschia." He explained while Liliya fumed silently.
" Why me, I'm not even that powerful." Fuschia questioned and Zia had been wondering that as well.
" Your mother my dear. Did you never find out? She was Gwenyth one of the 9 muses." Dr Manstien replied and Zia could basically here the grin in his voice. " I didn't think they could have children." Zia said confused. " They can they just don't often have children. They are called chosen and with your DNA I will become complete. So what do you say Fuschia trade one Samantha Black for yourself?" A new voice asked and in walked Mimic her purple eyes taunted them as she slowly choked Samantha a metal collar around her neck Zia guessed restricted her powers.
