SNAP!
Went the camera, before Remus, Peter and Jennifer apoligized for the flash of light behind it.
"Wait, we were taking a picture?" James dropped the branched he held to his head, like antlers. . .
"Oh, deer," Sirius smirked, snickering before I hit his arm.
Jennifer blew on the photo, before we all showed up, moving and laughing. In the back, James was laughing and holding onto his 'antlers' while Sirius was laughing along with something Jennifer said.
Me and Lily were leaning against each other, trying to reach up and knock them out of the way, but we were both laughing.
"This is the best thing ever. . . Mind if I I have it, Lils?" She nodded, before shivering lightly.
"Damn, it's freezing," Jennifer muttered, unrolling Remus' long knitted scarf and putting it around her neck, the other end still hanging from Remus' shoulders.
Oh my god, they're so cute.
Sirius extended his hand out to me, before my gloved one's hung unto his warm one. He stuffed our hands into his pocket, rubbing my hands with his own.
It was like when we were at Diagonal Alley earlier this year, and he swayed our hands back and forth.
Atticus, duck off. Yes, DUCK OFF!
But thats when James did a miracle. He unraveled his scarf from his neck, putting it over a confused Lily's shoulder's.
He smiled gently at her, hesitating at his desicion. "You just looked cold, Lily. . ."
A slight smile slipped on her face. "Thanks, Potter."
Peter pushed Jennifer's jaw back up, while I just stared at the scene. I told Lily he changed, didn't I?
"Baby steps," Sirius whispered in my ear, making me nod.
"Baby steps."
"Someone want to explain to me what 'baby steps' are?" Peter asked, before we loudly shushed him and waved the others away.
"All will be explained later, Wormy."
We all walked into The Three Broomsticks, before James and Peter went to order drinks and we found a table.
Unlike outside, it was warm in here. The sweet scent of hot chocolate and whipped cream filled my senses, the sound of laughter and talking making the space feel more lively.
I let go of Sirius' hand, realizing I did for once. Jennifer and Remus were still connected by the hip, and Lily was still smiling to herself.
Peter suddenly came running from somewhere, blushing slightly but with a smile on his chubby face. "Guess what. . . Mary McDonald just asked me to the dance! I won't have to go alone!"
"That's great, Pete! Mary's nice, she gave me her muffin this morning," I smiled, shrugging lightly.
Sirius was staring at Peter, mouth hanging open. "How did he get a date before all of us?! You must tell me your secrets-"
"Attitude and fizz-eek, Padfoot. Attitude and fizz-eek." Was all Peter said, still blushing.
"What the hell is fizz-eek?" Jennifer was unraveled from Remus' scarf, before James came back with our drinks.
I got a hot chocolate, while the others got a Butterbeer. I thought it would be a nice change, have something warm filling my system.
"Lia, your eyes. What's going on with them. . . ? They're changing colors," Jennifer gaped, though looked awed.
I gasped, and I ended up choking on my chocolate before Lily patted my back. I regained myself, glancing at them.
"I don't really know what its called, but I like to call it 'eyelimenist' or something. Sometimes my pupils will dilate, and the next thing I know Sev is reciting the stinking colors they change. Depends on mood and stuff," I shrugged.
"So, what does light violet mean?"
"Maybe it means I'm happy or comfortable, only Sev and Lily know." At the mention of Severus, Sirius quirked an eyebrow.
"Wait. . . Is Sev, Snivelus Snape?" Jennifer asked, crossing her arms.
I set my mug down, glaring slightly at the redhead. "Yes, Severus Snape is my best friend. Has been for years now, and don't call him that."
Silence.
All she did was nod, silently apologizing. I think I scared my new friend. . .
"What is it when a cow sings?"
I looked up at James, glaring. "I don't know."
"A 'lawsuit'."
He fell to the ground, laughing loudly as we all stared at him with blank faces.
"I didn't like that one, to be honest. And I never knew hamburgers sing, I'm going to name one Hank." Jennifer said, nodding.
"Hank the Hamburger. . . Is he a relative of Michael?"
"The apple?"
"Who else?"
