amora bisognin

it was after school when sofia texted me that i should come to her car and simultaneously 'accidentally' bumb into ethan. i of course agreed, said my goodbyes to luna and made my way to the parking lot.

i tip toed to see past the busy students and saw sofia talking to ethan near her car. i evenly brushed a strand of hair behind my ear with my finger and walked, my chin up high to them.

"hey sofia and ethan!" i said with a high pitched tone and smiled. they greeted me and then sofia picked her phone up from her pocket.

"oh shit, bianca wants to meet me in front of history, apparently i forgot my notebook there." she said and bit her lip.

she apologized and with quick steps, she was out of our sight.

"well, this is awkward." i chuckled and looked at ethan, who was rubbing the back of his neck, probably in embarrassment.

"yeah, kinda." he then said, not helping the tense scenario at all.

"so how are you and sofia?" i then asked, not noticing that i started our secret plan already.

and very awkwardly may i add.

"we're good, i guess. we could be better."

bingo.

"oh no, i'm sorry to hear that." i said and placed my hand on his shoulder.

to my surprise, he didn't flinch or try to pull away from my touch, he actually smiled at me.

i hovered closer, like a stray puppy asking for permission to come near you and sniff you.

ethan didn't pull away or scoot away, he stayed there and looked at me in the eyes, like they were the cure for cancer.

"i-i'm sorry." i then said, every cell in my body yelling for me to pull away. i pulled my hand away as fast as i would if i would've  just burned my finger on a stove.

i flinched, stepped back and tried to collect my thoughts.

think about the gucci purses and anastasia eyeshadow palettes.

"i didn't mean to."

is all i could stutter out. ethan looked surprised by my actions. even i was.

"it's okay, don't sweat it." is all he said, slightly chuckling and looking up.
away from my eyes.

"hey, i was wondering, you know, if you wanted to do something sometimes?" i asked, desperately. he looked at me and smiled, amused.

"that sounds nice." he agreed.

we couldn't exchange any other words, because sofia was already walking our way, the black notebook in her hands.

she jumped next to me and smiled brightly.

"babe, can you wait for me in the car while i talk to amora for a second?" she pleaded and threw him the notebook.

he nodded and walked a couple of parking spaces left, hopped in the driver seat of a white bmw and closed the door.

"so?" she said and turned to see me better.

"i got so so scared, i don't know what got into me." i sniffed, scratched the back of my arm and licked my lips.

she rolled her eyes.

"i won't get mad amora, i promise. do what you have to do girl." she smiled sympathetically and swung her arm on my shoulder.

"i know, i know, this is just new for me. i have no clue what i'm doing." i huffed and took a deep breath before i would've started crying in the parking lot.

sofia pulled me into a warm, lovefilled hug and rubbed my back.

"please calm down. jesus amora, i thought you were more badass than this."

i laughed.

i pulled away and flipped my hair from my shoulder.

"if that's what you want." i winked and turned to look at the car.

"me and ethan have a date." i then said.

her eyebrows jumped to the sky and he smiled.

"atta girl. tell me everything later." she blew a kiss to my way and jogged to the white bmw's passenger seat. the engine started and as the car drove past me, i waved and got two amused responses.
