1. Whaley House- The Whaley House was built in 1857 by Thomas Whaley. The home had once included the towns courthouse, general store, granary, theatre and the town morgue. Now it is a National Historic Landmark and Museum. People say that they see the ghosts of the Whaley family residing there. There is also a sighting of a man who was hung there before the house was built.
2. RMS Queen Mary- Inside this permanently docked ocean liner is a museum, hotel and several restaurants. Her maiden voyage was in 1936 and sailed until 1967. The rumor of this ship is that in Cabin B340 it is haunted by a murder victim. Ghostly children can be heard playing in the nursery. The engine room is haunted by a sailor who was killed there. Another ghost is said to be an unidentified lady in white.
3. Alcatraz- Once a maximum security prison this building which sits on an island is now a tourist location and museum. Tour guides and visitors often hear unexplained screams, doors slamming, banjo music and unexplained footsteps.
4. Sierra Nevada House- Objects have moved, electrical items have been turned on when left off, turned on when left on, voices and footsteps that come from nowhere are heard throughout the area.
5. The hospital is supposed to be haunted by the many patients that have died in the hospital. The hospital was seen on an episode of Ghost Adventures which shows on the Travel Channel.
