I wake up from a nap I didn't remember taking and we've finally landed . My family and I walk off the plane to the car and began the journey to our new house . A song I never heard plays on the radio .
"If I pulled you closer would you miiiii-nddddd, would you miiiii-nddddd".
I move back and forth to the rhythm and music . It has a nice ring to it and I like it already . Finally we pull up to our new house and it is beautiful . I'm beyond shocked.
"Like it?", My father asks .
"I don't know yet , I can't tell into we go inside", I say trying to be stubborn .
We head inside the house and it's even more beautiful than I expected it to be . I walk into the living room than the dining area , followed by the kitchen . I head upstairs to my room which is on the 3rd floor. All my stuff is already unpacked and neatly put away . My mom comes into my room .
"You start school on Monday", She says .
"I know", I say ignoring eye contact and looking out my window to the pool.
"I know you're trying to get used to living here but soon you'll get used to it and love it", My mom says not making the situation any better.
"Starting tomorrow me and your father starts work, so we've hired you a nanny to take care of you", My mom continues .
I mentally roll my eyes .
"Don't worry , she won't be here all day just to check up on you periodically , On weekends she's here from 6A-8P and on Weekdays from 3P-6P", My mom says .
When she realizes I'm not paying her much attention , she gives up and lose . I wanted to cry so bad but than my phone rings .
"Girl you were supposed to call me when you landed", Esabella says .
"Girl I know I'm sorry", I say holding back tears.
"How's Cali so far?" She asks .
"I don't know I've only been here for a hour", I say matter factly .
"Don't get smart Cai , I'm just asking?", She says .
"I'm sorry I'm just miserable and I hate that my parents don't listen to me , I wanted to stay in South Africa", I say as tears threatening to spill.
"I'm real sorry Cai , I'll hit you up tomorrow. Have a great night", Esabella says hanging up.
The rest of the night is pure torture, I'm force to watch Netflix with Coco .

Don't get me wrong , I love him but cuddling with a puppy gets boring . He even goes to sleep on me and has his butt in my face . Smelling like dead bodies and depression . I push him to the floor .
"Woof", he whimpers . "Sorry", I say instantly feeling bad .
I pick him up off the floor and rock him back to sleep and within seconds he's fast asleep again .I sit him next to me and dozed off . This was going to be a long year .
