Exploring

Previously- I sat down and Olivia came and laid down on my lap and I pet her soft fur.

"Do you want to play on the XBox? Maybe watch some TV, or explore the house? Any other ideas?" Taylor asked as she looked at me questionably.

I looked up at her and paused my petting of Meredith, "I'd like to explore a bit."

"Sure! Do you want to go alone or with me?"

"I'll go alone if that's ok."

"Ok. All I ask is you don't go outside of the fence if you are planning on going outside. Be careful, there are a lot of fragile things around this house. Have fun, I'll be in here watching TV." Taylor replied as she waved me off on my own.

I smiled and nodded as I headed out the door. First I went to the bathroom, then I found a room that had a room with a piano in the middle with a microphone positioned on it. Then it had a soft rug with a few couches all around it and pillows on the floor. It was another living room. I now noticed that there were guitars in the corner of the room. I gently picked one up and played the instrumental part to 'Love Story'. When I finished I put the guitar back in its place and I got up and left the room to explore more.

As I continued down another hallway I found a library. As I walked in I gasped. I would spend pretty much all my time in this library. I found the Harry Potter series, Percy Jackson series, and lots of other books I love. I found a comfy armchair and sat down with an interesting book I found. I didn't realise how much time had past until I looked up at the clock. I had been in the library for near 45 minutes! I carefully closed the book and set it back on the shelf. Then I took one last sweep gaze at the library and decided I would spend the majority of my time there.

Then I ventured upstairs. Walking up the grand staircase I went left instead of right. To this side, I found three guest bedrooms, each with a separate bathroom. Then there was an office that had a two monitor computer system with the comfiest looking swiveling, rolling chairs. It also had a charging station for many devices. It was just now that I thought of this. I wondered if Taylor would get me my own phone. Not that it really mattered, I was fine without one.

When I left that room I wandered to the end of the hallway, not really wanting to check the other rooms not. It was nearly time for it to get dark and I still wanted to look outside. At the end of the hallway, I found another staircase and decided to go down it. Turns out it ends up in the kitchen, off to the side, near the pantry. I went through the kitchen and the formal living room and out the glass doors.

Outside was a gigantic pool with a waterfall. Off to the side was a trampoline and more grass. I made a beeline to the trampoline. I took off my shoes and gingerly stepped on and sat down. See that nothing happened, not that I expected anything to happen, I got up and started jumping up and down. I did a couple of regular jumps. I would find out later Taylor was in watching me from her place inside on the couch and was quite impressed with my skills. Then I got fancier and did a few front flips. Lily and I practiced gymnastics together on our own time. Then I did a few back flips, followed by front and back handsprings and some more flips. After that, I sat down and took a rest for a few minutes. Then I headed back inside smiling to myself.

When I got back in I went to the kitchen a hesitantly grabbed a glass of water. I gulped it down, refilled it and gulped it down again. After I put my glass in the sink I went back to where Taylor was watching TV. I knock tentatively and saw her look up, pause the TV, and motion me to come in. When I came in and sat down Meredith jumped back onto my lap and I started petting her.

"You don't have to knock, this is your house also now. How was your time? Did you find anything you want to ask me about?" Taylor asked when I had sat down.

"Your house is so amazing! There are so many different rooms! It even has a library! I saw some of my favorite books there. I want to spend all my time in there!" I beamed up at Taylor, "I wanted to ask about the room with the piano, guitars, and lots of chairs. What is that used for?"

"I'm glad you like it. It is both of ours now." She smiled gently, then continued, "Now for the room with the piano. It's like another living room, it's where I will be performing little shows for my fans. These shows will be before the actual release date. It's a little sneak peak sort of thing. The first one will actually be later this month. Anything else?"

At this, I hesitated, but plowed on, "I was the computer office and... I was wondering... if I could get... my own phone?"

I waited for her to say no, absolutely not. But she didn't, instead, she sat and thought for a moment.

"Of course. I was wondering why you didn't ask for that right away. We'll look at phones tomorrow when we go shopping. On a side note, you did amazing on the trampoline, maybe you want to show Ed when he comes next week? He loves the trampoline."

"You liked it? Thanks so much! I'd love to show Ed. I could teach you and Ed some if you would like?" I smiled and looked at Taylor shyly.

"Of course! I'd love to learn something, I'm Ed would too. We can't do much at all." Taylor said with a wink.

We both burst into giggles. Then Taylor changed the channel and we watched some America's Got Talent reruns for a while.
