"Ready to go?" yelled Taylor from the front hallway.

"Yep," I said as I came with my backpack all ready to go.

She put her hand out and I took it. We walked out to the car and got into the back together.

When we just left the driveway I asked, "How long is drive?"

"Just under three hours, but don't worry, we've got lots to do," Taylor said.

My eyes lit up, "Ooh! Can we have some music?" I said with a grin.

"Of course," said Taylor with a grin and she turned on the radio.

"Ooh! I like this song!" I exclaimed. The song happened to be 'Good Time' by Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen.

"Great! So do I," Taylor said.

As it started we sang along. We sang along to many of the songs that came on and listen to the ones we didn't know the words to.

"Wow! It's been over an hour already!" I said in surprise.

Taylor nodded, "Time flies when you're having fun, doesn't it?"

I nodded and said, "I'm kinda tired. Can I take a nap?"

"Of course! You don't have to ask me. I'll wake you up if you don't wake up in time." She said with a soft smile, "Do you want to come sit next to me so you can lean on my shoulder?"

I nodded shyly and unbuckled and buckled quickly. I rested my head on her shoulder and fell asleep a few minutes after. It felt like just a few seconds later that I was gently nudged awake. I blinked and sat up. When I looked out the window I saw my first look of New York City.

"Wow..." I said in awe. I looked over at Taylor and she was grinning at me.

"Like it so far?"

I nodded happily, "How much more time until we get to the apartment?"

"Five, ten minutes, not long," said Taylor as she started putting things back into her bag.

"Ok," I said with a yawn.

I put the blanket that Taylor put on me when I was asleep back into my backpack. We pulled up to an apartment building and Taylor opened the door and got out. She held the door open for me as I got out with wide eyes. I gasped and looked up. The building was a stylish old, but new looking building. I looked over at Taylor and she was smiling at me from inside the lobby. I ran over to her and beamed up at her. Surprisingly, Taylor told me later, there weren't any paps or fans waiting for us so my cover wasn't blown.

"Ready to go up to the apartment?" said Taylor as we walked to the elevator.

I pushed the button and nodded happily. When the doors opened we got on with security right behind us.

"Which floor?" I asked as I looked at Taylor over my shoulder.

"Fourth floor. It's two stories, some on the fourth, some on the fifth," She said with a smile.

I nodded and pressed the button with a seventeen on it. It was a weird sensation, going up in an elevator. It's like you're leaving your heart a floor down, then it caught up a moment later. When the elevator dinged, I hopped up and down on each foot waiting for the door to open. When the door opened I grabbed Taylor's hand skipped out. She laughed and joined in with the skipping as we made our way to the door. She pulled out the keys when we got to the door and opened it. We stepped into a foyer with closets on the sides.

"Here, let me hang up our coats," Taylor said then took my coat when I nodded.

"Woah, this is cool already!" I said as I looked around slowly. Right in front of us was an L shaped staircase when we stepped out into the entry hall sort of thing. To the right was another hallway with a few doors, probably bedrooms or offices. Then when I looked up, I saw the second floor ceiling, it went all the way up! We turned left and through an archway.

"There's the kitchen," said Taylor, motioning to another doorway.

I nodded, we went through another archway and in front of us was a living room and the rest of the apartment. It had an older home feel with exposed beams and warm orange walls with dark wood paneling. Then it was decorated with vintage items that I knew Taylor loved.

"Why don't you pick a bedroom and set your stuff in it? Come on," said Taylor with a wave.

She went back to the entrance hall and I followed after her with my suitcase upstairs. We walked through a study sort of area to a door.

"This one's mine," Taylor said as she stopped at the end of the hallway.

"I'll show you the other two bedrooms up here," she said and we walked the other way, past the staircase. In front were three doors, two to the right and one straight ahead.

I nodded and put my hand on the doorknob straight ahead.

"Can I have this one?" I asked.

"Great choice. Put your stuff down, look around, and we can talk about dinner when you're ready," She nodded and went into her room.

I opened the door to a pretty plain, but big bedroom. It had a standard queen size bed with side tables and lamps as well as a light and fan on the ceiling. I set my suitcase and backpack on the floor next to my bed. I opened my suitcase and pulled out the picture of Lily and I. I set it on the nightstand next to the bed. Then I pulled out my hairbrush and brushed my hair quickly. Then I stepped out and closed the door behind me. I heard Taylor talking to someone downstairs, I made my way down the stairs slowly, taking in everything. When I got to the living room, straightforward was three separate mostly see through doors. And on the other side was an office with a desk, piano, and sitting area with a floor to ceiling, nearly wall to wall bookshelf. Then right in front of me was a living room with multiple couches in different places around the room and vertical metal beams. When I zoned back in, I sat down on the couch and caught the tail end of Taylor's conversation.

"Yep... Ok... I'll talk to you later and we can work it out the rest of the way... Hm mh... Ok, bye!" said Taylor as she hung up. "How do you like your room? Want anything changed?"

"I really love it! It has such a cool view of the city! Maybe just put some personal touches, I really like the vintage style, though," I said with a smile.

"Great. I'm glad you like it because a lot of our homes are this style," Taylor said with a smile.I nodded and stood up I went over to the window. I couldn't wait to explore the big wide city that Taylor loved so much.

A/N: Hope you like it!
