{DAY I}
- Morning {8h00 ➡12h00}
We arrived. How did I know? A sign said we had arrived in Holiday City.
Slowly, the train began to stop. We were at the train station. When the train stopped, I was one of the first people to get out.
I grabbed my bag and headed out, directly onto one of the platforms.
The train station was similar to the one in my village, but it was all decorated for Halloween.
I admit, I love Halloween, it's my favorite holiday. I tossed my orange hair back so I could see better.
People looked at me strangely. Maybe because of my looks or my clothes. For them, it was all a joke.
I walked by the train station, looking for the exit. I had never been to Holiday City. But I knew that this city should be wonderful.
If even the train station impressed me, I imagine what the rest of the city should be like. I walked a little more and found the exit of the station.
It was still eight o'clock in the morning. Perfect for me to explore the city.
I left the station and came across a giant, colossal structure. A sign next to it said that it was a haunted house made for Halloween.
I laughed. If they knew what was scary, really, the haunted houses would be closed or they would go bankrupt.
I walked around the town a bit and thought they were really worthy of having the Halloween party.
The houses were all decorated and even the city gate was decorated. It was incredible.
Holiday City is one of the few cities I know. The rest is just for books and even maps.
- Hey! Why are you dressed like that? A girl asked me.
- Because I'm a ...- I started to say, almost forgetting that I can not come out by saying I'm a witch.
- An ? - She asked.
- A Halloween fan! - I said quickly. Fortunately, the girl seemed to believe.
- What's your name ? My name is Harriet. - She introduced herself.
I thought for a moment. Was it safe for me to speak my real name? She could be in serious danger if I told her my name. I decided to take the risk and tell Harriet my name.
- My name is Akari, but you can call me Orange. - I said.
- All right then, Orange. Do you want me to show you the city? here are several haunted houses. I think you'll like it if you say you're a fan of Halloween. - Harriet offered.
I said yes with the head. Nothing better than to see if the haunted houses were really haunted.
And we spent the rest of the morning going in haunted houses. Of course, everything was just made for the amusement of the people.
All the time, I had to pretend to be scared. I wasn't, but Harriet could discover my secret of being a Witch. She would be afraid of me.
The only thing that made me shiver was the part where the Witches and their rituals appeared. I did not do rituals, after all, my family and I were practicing white magic.
- Hey, Orange! Do you want to have lunch at my house? - Harriet asked. I nodded and we went to lunch.
- Afternoon {12h00 ➡ 8h00}
After lunch, which went quite fast, I ended up talking to Harriet about not having a place to stay.
- You can stay in the tower of the old hill. No one stays there. Nobody at all. - She snapped.
- Oh really?! - I asked. She laughed.
- No. It was just a joke. You can stay at Hanna's or Alyssa's. Or here in my house if you prefer.
- But would your parents agree ? - I asked.
Harriet nodded and left me alone to talk to her parents. The girl was pushy when she needed to be.
- I returned! - Harriet said, opening the door to the living room. - And with good news!
- Oh really?! Did your parents let me stay here? - I asked.
- Yes and no. - Harriet explained, discouraging me - You can stay for a week, then leave.
- Okay then. - I said. One week was enough for me to get somewhere else to stay.
- But while you're here, how about we go visit my friends, Alyssa, Hanna and Aria ? - She asked
- Can Be - I answered. Harriet took me by the arm and dragged me out of her house.
Our first stop was in a quirky house. Instead of Halloween decorations, the house was decorated for Christmas.
- Ah! I forgot to say, my friend Alyssa is a ... - Harriet was interrupted by the door of the house opening, revealing a short girl with pointed ears and a giant brown hair.
- Hi! What brings you here in my humble home ? - Asked the girl as we entered.
If that was humble, he wanted to know what it was to be rich. The house was so nicely decorated and perfect, it looked like it had come out of a fairytale book.
- Well, Alyssa. I came to introduce you to Akari, a girl I met today. I want to know if she can sleep here in a week. - Harriet explained.
Alyssa, incredibly excited, nodded. I was going to say I did not need it and that I would go to the tower, I know what I did, but Alyssa started dragging me to a room.
- Let's go! I want to show you a wonderful room. You stay for even six months if you want! Or a year! - She said excitedly.
Well, if I could stay that long, Harriet's family would not need to worry about me.
I decided to accept Alyssa's proposal.
- Hey, Alyssa! - I called. Harriet and she turned to me. - Can I stay here for six months ?
- Of course! - She announced, giving me a stifling bear hug, but at the same time cozy.
- Before you ask, that's fine. I'm coming to visit you, okay ? - She said.
- Yes, it is - I said.
- So, what are you waiting for ? Let's go home and get your things! - Harriet said.
- All right then ... Bye Alyssa, see you later! - I said goodbye while Harriet was at the door.
We left Alyssa's house and started walking. Fortunately, Harriet's house was very close to Alyssa's "house".
Harriet entered the house first, and I decided to wait for her outside. The wind was blowing hard and I felt a mysterious magic energy. Something was coming and my instincts said it would not be good.
