Chapter 2

The rest of the lesson continued peacefully untill the teacher set us up to be labpartners for the rest of the semester.

'Trrrrrrrrrrrrrr' the bell rings and the lesson is finally over. I exit the classroom and go to my locker to get the books for my next...

'What the hell was that?'

As I turn around I see him there and the only thing I know is that he is trouble. I try to say something and the only thing that comes out is: 'W-what?'

'What the hell was that?' he asks again.

'What are you talking about?'

'You don't get to talk to me like that.' he says angry.

'Well, you don't know me.'

Who does he think he is? While I take my books and close my locker I can feel him staring at me. Why is he staring for so long? I just walk away without turing around nor saying anything else.

'Heyyy, did you hear?' Eleanor jumps on my back.

'What was I supposed to hear?'

'There is a party tonight and we're going!'

'I don't have time to go to a party, I have so much things to do.'

'Jennifer, you have to come it is only for seniors and guess what... Your a senior.' she begins to laugh and she continues 'And you know Harry is going to be there too...'

'I don't know...'

'Pleaseee, you have to come. I heard that it's going to be the best party of the year.'

'Fine.' I roll my eyes and I continue 'you want to get ready at my house?'

'Yes, of course!'

As we go home she calls Nate and tells him that I'm coming to the party. I have the feeling that she's hiding something but i don't care. My only wish is that tonight goes well. We arrive home and my mom is making some food.

'Hey honey, how was your day?' my mom asks.

'Fine as usual. Mom there's a party tonight can I go?'

'Who is going?' I can see she doesn't like the idea of me going.

'All the senior class.'

'Okey, you can go but no drinking understood?' she says obviously joking because I never drink.

'Yesss thank you mom!'

I go to my room and Eleanor is already waiting for my answer.

'So are coming?' she asks.

'I am so sorry really but you'll have to endure me the whole night.'

'Yes, I knew you'd come!' she screams and hugs me. I find her reaction funny although I expected something like that. We do our make up, get dressed and enjoy the music. She looks at me with simper on her face and she asks.

'So, I heard from Nate that you and Harry are lab partners...'

'Please don't remind me, he is annoying and today he got mad at me because I told him that I'd rather learn then talk to him.' I look at her with an angry face and continue 'but when he came I didn't listen, I told him that he doesn't know me and walked away.' when I finish she begins to laugh and answers

'Well, I have to say I'm proud. You handled it pretty well.'

'Pretty well? I handled it amazing!' and we're both laughing.

We are finally ready and Nate is supposed to be here any minute. I really want tonight to be fun. We hear the doorbell and we go to open it my mom went out. I'm thankful for it because she doesn't know that we're going with a group of boys, well mostly boys... we take our stuff, go outside and I see Harry. He is looking good. His black curls are messy and his outfit... What can I say, he is wearing black jeans, a white T-shirt and a black leather jacket. When I realise that I am staring and I stop hoping he won't realise.

'Jen, you're going to ride with Harry because there is no place in Nate's car.' The moment Eleanor says that I have mixed feelings because I know he's trouble but honestly I don't really care.

'Uhm yeah, okey.'

'Nate, she will go with Harry she doesn't care!' she yells to Nate.

'What's going on? I heard my name.' suddenly I hear Harry's voice behind me. Nate comes and takes him to the side, I can see them arguing but can't understand what they're saying. After a minute or two gives Harry looks at me and comes over.

'Are you coming or not?' he asks

As I take my bag I feel someone staring at me. I look up and I see that Harry is scanning me from head to toe. Why did I listen to Eleanor? Whyyy? Now I'm so uncomfortable in this dress because it's red, fluffy, really short and absolutely not my style.

'Uhm, yes.' I go to the passenger seat but I change my mind at the last minute and go to the back seat. He starts driving...

'Why are you in the back seat?' he asks, I see his face from the car mirror and he stares back.

'Do you want me to seat in the passenger seat?' I can see the grin on his face although he's trying to hide it from me and he doesn't answer.

During the ride I feel kind of weird because I know he is staring and we even have some eye contacts. We get to the party and we realise we got there before the rest of the group. When everybody arrives Eleanor walks up to me and says:

'So are you ready?'

'Ready for what?'

'Ready to find you a guy! You idiot!'

We're in the entrance about to get in but then my phone starts ringing. I take my phone and see it's my mom.

'Jen, are you coming?' Eleanor asks me

'Yes, I'll catch up with you guys.' I tell her and immediately answer my phone.

'Hey, mom what's up?'

'Hey honey, ehm; I don't know how to tell you this...' she answers while she's crying and panicking.

'Mom, what happend are you okey?' What is going on...?

'What? He did what?'
