Shiki and (Y/n) still continued to the girl's house in an awkward yet comfortable silence. "Nee, (Y/n)-cchi... How's it at your place?" Shiki randomly blurted out. The girl thought for a second before replying.
"It's been good I guess... My mom is still as busy as usual—along with my dad. I'm mostly home alone these days, except for weekends." She replied quietly. Shiki hummed in understanding as they continued to walk in that awkward yet comfortable silence.
"(Y/n)-cchi? Do you mind if I crash at your place for an hour or two? I need help to the MEGA MAX on this English test coming up tomorrow..." The boy asked sheepishly. (Y/n) glanced at the boy before letting out a sigh.
"Sure, it's getting late though..." She trailed off.
"No need to worry about that! I'm SUPER MEGA MAX HYPED!" Shiki cheered. (Y/n) let out a laugh before turning to the boy.
"About studying? That's a first." She joked.
"Eehh?! I can be MEGA MAX HYPED whenever I want to (Y/n)-cchi!" He pouted. (Y/n) giggled as she hushed the boy.
"Sure, sure. Just let your mom know, okay?" Shiki have the girl a big smile before nodding his head vigorously, causing the girl to smile back at him.

"I'm back..." (Y/n) muttered as she began to take her shoes off.
"Sorry for the intrusion!" Shiki announced happily. "Nee, (Y/n)-cchi, where's your parents?" Shiki asked as he helped himself to a can of juice in the refrigerator, his bags still in his hand.
"They're working, remember..? Here, we can take our stuff to my room." (Y/n) replied, beginning to walk up the stairs leading to another floor containing three rooms and a bathroom.
"Uwaaaiiii, it's been a while since I've been in your room (Y/n)-cchi~ you've grown so much,"
"Shut it Shiki. You know nothings changed since you've last been here..." she narrowed her eyes towards his appalled expression. He sweat-dropped
"I know, I know... It's just—it's YOUR ROOM. So comfy~" he giggled as he trotted towards the huge panda plushie in the corner of (Y/n)'s room. Although she tried stopping him, she couldn't be upset. He was just too adorable to get mad at.
"Nee, Shiki, remember what you came here for..." She warned as she plopped onto my soft mattress. Shiki gave a distressed groan as a reply.
"But, but... (Y/n)-cchiiiiiii, I'm tired~" he trailed off, whining like usual. (Y/n) sat up and narrowed her eyes towards him once again. His body tensed up.
"Yes mother,"
"Excuse you?!"
"(Y/n)-cchi!!"

"Hello, my name is Shiki Iseya."
"Herro, mai naemu is Shiki Iseya." (Y/n) tried not to laugh. "What are you laughing at?! We're both born and raised in Japan-you can't expect me to have a good speaking ALL AMERICAN-"
"Okay, I get it, hush." She interrupted, shoving a finger in front of his face. Shiki slouched over, his eyebrows narrowed towards his best friend. "I'm sorry Shiki, I didn't mean to offend you~" (Y/n) said whole heartedly, giving him a big hug.
Although it was odd of him to do so, Shiki didn't hug back, worrying (Y/n); although she dismissed the thought of him secretly disliking her by the minute. She recoiled her arms from him as they sat in an awkward silence.
"Nee, (Y/n)-cchi..? What's this?" Shiki asked as he picked up a piece of paper found on (Y/n)'s desk. She gasped before grabbing the paper out of his hands. "Could it be... A NEW SONG?" His eyes sparkled with wonder.
The girl sighed as she clutched the paper towards her chest. "I'm... I'm not done yet. Well, I am but... I'm not proud of it." Shiki could notice the sadness in her expression, placing an arm on her shoulder.
"Well... Why don't I help you with that? Here, let me see..." he asked softly. (Y/n) slowly gave in, giving him the crumpled paper. He smiled as he read through it. "It's perfect! I don't know how you couldn't be happy with it."
"No, it's not! There's something missing Shiki, I just know it..."
"OUR SONG - It's the Only One in the World -" he read out loud, taking in the lyrics. "Here (Y/n), why don't we..."
