Chapter 1

Alex Pov ,

My name is Elizabeth Alexis Brown, but people call me Alex. I have curly hair, light brown eyes, and big pink plump lips. I have caramel skin and a coke bottle shaped body. I attend Bell Gate High School in Miami, and I live with my mother and twin brother. We all share a small 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment that we have already out grown. My father moved away when my brother and I were 6, we are now 17 and haven't seen our father in over 10 years. I heard he's a big music producer and also a multi millionaire, he has 3 other children by his new wife and one of his kids attend my school and is in my grade but I don't know who he is. I am a less fortunate child that gets bullied everyday , I always wondered what it would feel like to have the best things , but I know I will never find out .

" Wake up babies it's time for school . "

My mom peeked her head in the small bedroom my brother and I shared .

" I don't feel good today ma can I please stay home ?"

" Sure I hope you feel better soon ."

She left out the room and I woke my brother up .

" King can you stay home with me to day please I don't feel good "

" Of course I will"

He kissed my cheek and went back to sleep . My brother and I have been close since birth . We never go anywhere without each other . I got up and turned on the water hopping in the shower . The water was cold meaning my mother didn't pay the bill. But I understand and I'm used to it . I scrubbed my body with my vanilla soap and rinsed my body . I hopped out the shower and wrapped the towel around my body . Walking out the bathroom I grabbed my pantie and bra set and put them on. I pulled out my gray sweat pants and white tank top then I pulled out my gray Jordan's my best friend Jasmine brought for me and slipped them on . I put my curly hair into a messy bun and put on the necklace my father left for me before he left my mother . I grabbed my IPhone 4 from off the charger . Today is washing day so I put everything that was dirty into a bin . I texted Jasmine and told her we were ready , and she said she was coming to pick us up . I woke King up again and told him to get dressed . An hour later Jasmine showed up at the door . we loaded her car and drove to her house. Jasmine is considered family to us and she been there for me since day uno . I love her to death .

We were almost done washing clothes when we saw the group of kids we absolutely hated . King and I would get bullied by them all the time.

" What are these lames doing here "

Chris asked Jasmine's brother Niño .

" Man chill there like family "

Niño said . They just mugged me and I mugged them back .

" Yeah whatever "

Tyga kept staring at me and it was making me uncomfortable so I went upstairs .

" Jasmine why are they here you know what they did to me "

A couple of days ago Chris tripped me and I fell on the floor and him and his lil clique started kicking me . I have bruises all on my back .

" Alex they will only be here for a while just chill . "

King came upstairs .

" The clothes are done can we go now "

I shook my head yes and we grabbed the baskets going down stairs .

"Why are they washing clothes at your house "

Chris asked , I wish he would mind his business.

" Don't worry about it "

King snapped . We went to the car and packed it up . Then we hopped in .

" I have something the family wanted to give y'all . "

She pulled out four envelopes .

" Here Alex this has $10,000 in it and this one has $20,000 in it . Ones for the bills and the other one is for you ."

"Omg Jasmine I can't take that you've helped us out a lot already . "

"Alex take it please . "

I sighed loudly and grabbed the envelopes .

"And this is for you King , do the same "

" Omg thank you so much , words can't even explain how much I love you "

I just got done putting up the clothes and now we can do whatever we want . So Jasmine decided to give me a make over ....
