our first summer

dive right in

Last night was horrible for everyone. Todd and Corinna ended things because he couldn't stand her obsessive jealousy, Gabbie was vomiting every five minutes, Scott lost his phone (but found it again) and David and Liza stopped being David and Liza.

The tension at breakfast was unreal. The separate conversations. Liza not pouring salt on both she and David's plates. Zane not being excited about the activity for today which is Sky Diving.

While everyone else goes up to the hotel rooms to get changed, liza quickly uses the downstairs toilets and gets a surprise when she walks out of them to see David and Kristen walk out of the hotel together with smiles on their faces as they get in the car. Rage bubbles up in Liza's stomach and she's never felt this jealous before.

she returns to her hotel room only to see that Gabbie and Corinna have both left already. Liza throws on her white t-shirt and shorts before lacing up her converse and heading into the bathroom to freshen up. She brushes her long hair before tying it up in a pony tail.

"liza you in here?" She hears someone call from the living room area. Liza takes her toothbrush out of her mouth and walks over to the door, she's surprised when she sees Corinna sitting on the couch while eating a popsicle.

"I'm here" she says, breaking the silence. Corinna looks up at the brow eyes girl before standing up and walking over in her direction.

"i have no excuse for the way I acted last night and today. i didn't mean all those nasty horrible things I said to you, I haven't been a very good friend recently and I'm sorry" Corinna sighs, hoping it's not too late to fix their friendship.

Liza moves towards the sorry girl with her arms wide open, ready to squeeze Corinna in a hug. the two sigh with relief and rest their heads on each other's shoulders while they smile and squeeze each other tightly.

"I'm sorry too" she confesses, happy that she's got her friend back.

The group of six huddle into the bus that's taking them to the sky diving centre. David and Kristen told Scott they'd meet him there. The energy present amount them is great. Nobody's bickering or arguing and maybe that's just because Kristen isn't here for Liza to argue with or maybe it's just because they realise that fighting with each other while on vacation is seriously dumb.

"Okay we have a presentation to get through and then we can start the diving" the instructor announces when they arrive in the centre.

After the presentation that felt like forever, the instructor gave the girls their equipment and told them to go change, as did the boys.

When the girls were halfway through getting changed and messing around, Kristen walked into the changing room with her equipment already on. Liza refused to speak to her so instead, she minded her own business, zipped up her suit and placed her goggles on top of her head.

As soon as everyone was ready to go, the instructor took them to the field where the plane was waiting. They had to arrive on what resembled golf carts for unknown reasons.  They each climbed onto the plane one by one and took a seat on the long bench. Before taking off, the instructor dudes did a check to make sure their harnesses were all tight and steady.

David's knuckles began to turn white very quickly as the plane started to move. Liza noticed this as she was seated beside him and decided to forget about their fight last night and be there for him now. She reaches down and took his hand from the edge of the beach, lifting it up and moving it onto her lap where she held it with both of her hands. David unexpectedly, put his other hand on top of hers, giving it a gently squeeze as he looked at her thankfully.

When the plane was high enough for them to jump from, the first group of people started to get ready. they got clipped onto the instructors harnesses and got into position. Gabbie, Todd, Kristen and Scott were first to take the plunge. One by one they each flew out of the plane, soaring through the sky.

Next it was Corinna and Zane who had to jump. They carefully moved over to beside the instructor, being very careful not to fall out of the plane just yet. When Liza caught a glimpse of the ground, she began to back out. her palms were getting sweaty and her heart was beating fast.

she didn't want to do it anymore. Corinna screamed as she fell out but then cheers were heard coming from her as Zane got ready to do the same. David laughed at his friends and turned to see if Liza was laughing too but instead, he saw her with tears in her brown eyes and a look of fear on her face.

"Liza what's wrong?" He asks, concerned about her. Although they aren't talking to each other at the moment, he still cares deeply for this girl. he hates when she's upset.

"i-i-i  ca-can-can't  do- do-do-do it" she whimpers, feeling like she's in the middle of a panic attack. David gestures to the instructor to give him a minute and he does.

his arms wrap around Liza like they always do and he knows it feels so right, as does she. her head goes, instantly to its rightful place on David's chest and her arms faster around his waist. David begins to stroke her hair while whispering into her ear.

"i promise you that you're safe okay? i wouldn't let anything happen to you and you know that. i know it's scary but you'll be fine when you're down there, I swear to you. and I know that because I would never let anything or anyone harm you. I almost lost you once, I don't want to go through again"

Liza's heart slows down but the butterflies erupt. Her legs almost go limp and she falls even more in love with him.

"Thank you" She mumbles before reluctantly letting go of David and reaching out to take the instructors hand. she's a badass. she can do this.

"David wait" she says quickly before turning around to face him. without hesitation she reaches up to cup his face and kiss him passionately. He doesn't even have to think twice about it before he kisses back and his hands rest on her hips.

In that moment she knew that he loved her, he didn't need to say it because she knew without a single doubt. he was hers.

this would have been published seller but something was wrong with wattpad and I lost the chapter!

im already planning my second book but I need some feed back. would y'all like to see me create a pregnancy book or a book where David's a celebrity?
