Syelvie

So... I made a new friend. This guy is unbelievably flirtatious! If he wants me to fall for him, THAT ISN'T HAPPENING IN A MILLION YEARS!

I am not interested in love at the moment. Why? Well, I just find love unnecessary and irrational. I just don't like the concept of committing your existence for love, and not only that, as I read in my favorite novels, all love stories collide with hurdles somewhere along the tale.

I have never engaged myself in considering love as a part of my life. I am single since birth, though I will admit, I have had crushes before but not... boyfriends or anything more than that.

"Hey!" I suddenly realized that this guy was in front of me.

"Oh, hi..." I awkwardly replied.

"Well," he paused and then continued. "I never got to know your name."

I was dumbfounded at his confidence and nonchalance. He was basically asking for my name while not even saying his name himself! Talk about being a gentleman.

"Haah," I squinted my eyes at him. "Do you have any remote idea why I am hesitating in saying my name?"

He tapped his index finger on his head motioning that he was thinking. Seriously!?

"Why are you hesitating? I just can't figure out!" He said with an innocent face.

This guy is extremely absurd. I decided that he would be better off to figure out his mistake for himself so I just turned my back from him and sat down.

"Hey! Are you mad at me again?" I heard him walking towards me. He, without warning, suddenly sat beside me.

"What did I do this time...?" His voice was close to pleading me for answers. I just couldn't stand it...

"Alright, alright. This is getting unbelievable," I shot my glance at him who was staring at me seriously. "You ask for my name and you yourself don't introduce? Do you even know basic manners..?" I retorted.

He just sat there confused and unable to mutter a single word. A few minutes later, he suddenly realizes the mistake he has done.

"Oh! I am so... sorry, I forgot to say my name first!" He laughed hysterically.

I seriously do not understand this guy and his antics.

"So? What's your name?" I just couldn't restrain myself any longer.

"Oh yeah," he scratches the back of his head. "I-I am Albiex Calber. Albie for short."

I breathed a sigh of relief, "And I am Syelvie White, just Elvie is fine. Nice to meet you for the second time... Albie." I just smiled.

"Nice name." He winked at me causing myself to punch him.

"Ow..." he flinched. "Okay, okay. I won't do that again..."

I just ignored him and looked around me. It was just... unbelievable, the fact that I am stranded on an uncharted planet sitting right next to a lunatic who has no care in what is happening around him!

Seriously, there isn't an ounce of worry and uncertainty in his voice. He is so composed, so relaxed. I wish I can be as oblivious as he is because next thing I know, I died because of over worrying.

"Uhm... Elvie?" Albie tapped on my shoulder.

I didn't even bother to look, "What?" I said dryly.

"Are you... scared? Scared that we are stuck on a planet with such minimal resources..?" He replied.

Oh, this guy is not oblivious to the situation after all, "Is that even to be asked? Of course I am scared! Who wouldn't be afraid in times like this!?"
