"Hey babe," I greeted as I watched my lovely girlfriend Eleanor close the house door and begin to take her scarf off. I smiled and her and stood up to help her with her coat and bags.
"Hey Loo-Lee," she replied, returning my smile. She shrugged off her black jacket and put it on the hangers before handing me a couple of bags from her hands.
"How long have you been out, honey?" I asked as I walked into the kitchen. I dropped the plastic bags onto the kitchen counter and began rummaging through them.
"Since a couple of hours after you left for work. I went to get my hair done and then I went food shopping," she told me, walking into the kitchen. I looked at her hair and saw what she meant. It was all glossy and curly and she looked as beautiful as ever.
"It looks amazing," I said. I walked towards her and took her head between my hands before pressing a kiss onto her forehead.
She smiled back at me and wrapped her arms around my shoulders in a hug. I cuddled into her slender body and pressed another kiss into her hair. She soon pulled back and looked at me. "How was work?"
"Tiring," I replied honestly. I hated being down at the office on Mondays, I was either always too boring or always too hectic. Today, it had been the latter.
"Aw hon," Eleanor cooed, patting my bicep softly. She walked over to the groceries and I helped her pack them away into the refrigerator and kitchen drawers. When we were finished, I told her to sit and watch some television whilst I cooked tea.
"What are you making?" She called through just as I'd started humming to myself.
"Spag-bol," I called back. I took the spaghetti from the cupboard along with the Dolmio sauce and began preparing things for the meal. Once I'd done, I left it cooking on the oven and went to sit with Eleanor on the couch.
"Aw, look at that," She said, pointing to a bride on the TV. She had a huge dress lined with gems and lace. I imagined Eleanor - not for the first time - in a huge wedding dress walking down the aisle to meet me, and I blushed.
"You'd make a beautiful bride one day, El," I told her, smiling. She lifted her eyes to look at mine and smiled back.
"And you'd make a handsome husband," she replied. I flicked the brown hair away from my eyes and pecked her on the cheek.
"I should get back to the cooking."
I stood up from the couch after pressing another kiss to Eleanor's cheek and then walked back into the kitchen where the spaghetti bolognese was nearly ready. I took two plates out from under the kitchen counter and placed them next to the pan, ready to be dished out.
I served the spaghetti and then put the sauce and mushrooms together in a pan and poured it onto the two plates. Once I was done, I sprinkled some pepper onto one of them - because I knew that Eleanor liked it that way - and then poured two glasses of wine. I then placed the plates and drinks on the dining table and called Eleanor through.
"It smells delicious," she gasped as she walked through. I closed my eyes and breathed in the scent of my cooking, and I had to agree with her - I was quite the cook after all.
I pulled a chair out for her to sit on and then sat myself on the one opposite her, fork in hand. I waited until she'd tasted a sample of hers before I dug in. And my, it was amazing.
"It tastes good," she mumbled between forkfuls.
"I know," I retorted. I smirked at her before twirling some spaghetti on my fork and putting it in my mouth. "My grandma is the best teacher."
"Is that wine?" She asked, pointing to the glass beside her plate.
"Indeed it is," I said once I'd swallowed.
"Are you trying to get me drunk?"
"Oh, puh-lease! Its harmless."
She eyed me with a smile playing on her lips. "Of course."
"Although I wouldn't mind you getting drunk..." I shrugged.
"Of course you wouldn't," she replied, rolling her eyes.
"Anyway." I coughed. "About earlier... you really would be a wonderful bride."
"You think?" She asked, smiling at me over the table.
"Of course. I can see it now."
"You can see it now? Can you really?" She asked with a happy expression on her face. She looked like a little princess.
"Of course," I said. I put my fork down and reached my hand out to stroke her brown curls.
"I love you," she murmured.
"I love you too," I said back, retreating my hand. "So... how about it?"
"How about what?" She asked.
"How about being a bride?"
She dropped her fork on he plate and looked at me with her mouth open. "Do you mean..."
I nodded and watched as she got up to run towards me. I stood up and twirled her around the room before kissing her lips softly.
"Of course!" She squealed.
I grinned at her. "Sorry that I didn't have anything planned, I was just caught up in the moment."
"I don't care, I love you," she said. She pecked my lips a few times and smiled at me excitedly before sitting down at the table and eating again. Throughout the whole meal her eyes were illuminated by happiness and she looked like a beautiful goddess. I wanted to spend the rest of my years married to this woman... I didn't even want to wait for kids or any of that stuff. I wanted her to be joint to me, forever.

A/N: This is extremely soppy and full of Elounor gosh. But whatever.
Oh, and the chapters will probably get longer as I get into the story. At the moment I need to not rush things and plan it out (:
