Max's POV

"Shit." I said stumbling around the dark camp. "Max?" A voice called out. Well fuck whoever that was caught me. I didn't respond hoping they would just think it's a dream or something. As I went to turn around I felt a hand on my shoulder. "Holy fuck!" I jumped. "Dude it's like 12a.m. shut up, you'll wake someone up for sure." The familiar voice scolded. "(N/N), is that you?" I called out. "Who else would be?" She answered. "So, what are doing snooping on me?" I asked. "I couldn't sleep, but I can ask you the same thing." She said moving closer to me. "Pudding." I answered simply. "Pudding? What do you mean 'pudding'." She asked hesitantly. "Yeah, I'm hungry and wa-" i was interrupted by a rumbling sound. "Me too." She said in embarrassment. "No shit. Well, let's go." I said. We walked into the dark, moonlit mess hall, and went into the freezer where they stored the pudding.
*Clank*
"Uhhh...Max." (Y/N) said nervously. "Hold on. Damn where are they?" I answered while rummaging for the pudding. "Maaaaax." She persisted. "I said hold on." I was really losing my patience. "Max! Listen to me!" She grabbed me by the collar of my yellow shirt and pointed at the freezer door. "We just got locked in!" She exclaimed putting me down. "Well shit." I face palmed myself. "What about the knob?" I suggested. "Broke off," She showed me the knob in her hand. "And it looks like neither of us were ready for the cold." (Y/N) exclaimed. "What do you mean not re- Oh fuck." It just hit me that I didn't bring my sweater. I looked at her, she was in a T-Shirt that said National Sarcasm Society, some grey shorts, and to add insult to injury she was barefoot. She began to laugh. "What's so funny about being stuck in a freezer?" I asked clearly being weirded out by her sudden burst of laughter. "I laugh when I'm nervous okay? geez."She explained calming down. As I'm about to turn around I noticed something. "What's that?" I pointed to her forearm. "It's nothing, don't worry." She said turning around. "Okay then, can you reach for this box real quick." I asked. "Okay? Is tough Max to short to reach the widdle box." She taunted and began to reach for the box on her tippy toes when I grabbed her arm and looked at it. "Hey! What even!?" She exclaimed. "Scars? Why? Are you depressed or some shit?" I ask. "I told you it's nothing." She touched them flinching as though awakening a memory. "Pass the pudding, ya cant hog it all." She said perking up as if though nothing happened. "What flavor?" I asked shrugging it off. "Whatcha got?" She asked . "Chocolate, Vanilla, and... Key Lime? Since when?" I offered. "Chocolate." (Y/N) said as i passed her the pudding. I watched her examine it, her facial expressions were a bit concerning. "What is it now?" I rolled my eyes . "It expired June 8, 1997. So I think I'll pass." She said handing back the pudding. "Uhhh ... So what were you doing yesterday before I got there?" I asked. "Nothin' just chilling." She lied, I could tell. "You were playing something, like a harmonica or a ukulele." She froze, meaning i was right. "I was just humming some songs I listen to." She said with a yawn. "How long have we been in here?" She asked. "10 minutes tops." I answered. She yawned again and shivered. "How long has it been since you slept?" I ask as i sat down and laid my head against the wall. "Probably since the day before Ethan and I got here. why?" She said sitting next to me seeking warmth. "You look tired." I said as she sat down and laid her head on my shoulder. She wrapped her cold arms around mine and fell asleep. 'She's actually kinda cute when she's sleeping.' I thought blushing a bit. "Wait, fuck." I whispered to myself realizing what i just thought. 'I might as well get some sleep' and with that i fell asleep.
