The Dreaded Circle Time

"Okay... So house didn't work out..."

"It was a disaster, Lance..."

"I know! But we have to do something fun before we have to do boring school stuff..."

"Hey!" Pidge exclaimed. "School stuff isn't boring!"

Keith looked between Pidge and Lance.

"Keith, what do you wanna do?"

"Um..." he looked around for help.

"Okay kids! Circle time!" Allura called.

"Noooo!" Lance whined.

Meanwhile, Keith sighed in relief as they all sat around in a circle.

"Now, since today is still the first day for some of us, we're going to introduce ourselves!"

Keith took back his sigh of relief and began to panic.

"We're going to go around and you're going to say your name and something about you. For example, I'm Allura and I'm your teacher this year! Who would like to go next?" Allura asked.

Lance immediately raised his hand.

Allura smiled. "Okay, tell us Your name and something about yourself."

"The name's Lance and... hm... I like the color blue."

"Very good! Next?"

Keith barely listened as the others continued. He didn't know why, but he felt the need to practice what he was going to say over and over in his head.

"And now for our new student!"

He looked up to find everyone staring at him. "I-I'm Keith and I like...." he trailed off. He forgot what he liked! "I... like...." He cleared his throat. "My name is Keith and.... And I like..." he tightened his grip on Sir Lionheart.

"It's okay," Allura said with a comforting smile. "Do you like the color red? You wear a lot of red."

He nodded even though he knew that wasn't what he was about to say. He stared at the ground in frustration.

Allura clapped her hands together. "Good! Now we all know each other!"
