Chapter 16 - Timber Wolves

Rainbow Dash' s POV

I stood up. I looked around and saw Apple Jack laying on the ground. I ran over to her.

"AJ! AJ! Apple Jack wake up!" I said shaking her.

She moaned and started to move. She fluttered her eyes open and fixed her hat.

"Wh-what in tarnation!" She exclaimed.

"I don't know either. But now is not the time. We have to find the others." I said.

She nodded and we walked/ran for awhile. We finally stopped to rest in a clearing.

"I don't know where we are. This definitely ain't the Everfree Forest." Apple Jack said.

"I know what you mean." I replied.

Then I heard a low growl. I jumped up instantly.

"AJ wha-" she cut me off.

"I know." She said quietly.

"Timber Wolves!" We exclaimed in unison.

Then 4 Timber Wolves came out of the shadows. The were all growling and snarling.

"Rainbow! Take those two! I'll get these two!" Apple Jack instructed.

"Right!" I replied

I distracted the two on her left.

"Hey! Aren't you two the most adorable puppies ever!" I said all girly.

They growled and lunged at me. I took off flying into the sky. (The magical barrier somehow magically disappeared....Oooo.....) The growled and snarled and clawed at the sky. I flew back down and picked up some stones. I flew back up and started launching them at the wolves with my hooves. I threw one up and kicked it at them. 1 2 3 hits and they were down. I flew down to AJ only to see, she had finished hers up too.

"Yeah! We did it!" I yelled.

"Now don't get cocky Rainbow. You know they reassemble." She said knowingly.

"Then why are we still here?"

"Good point. Let's go." She said.

As she said that, the twigs and branches started glowing and moving.

"Too late!" I exclaimed.

But these Timber Wolves were different. Instead of making 4 again, they reassembled differently. Making 2 giant Timber Wolves! These were the worst. I remember when Spike saved Apple Jack's life from one.

"I'll get this one!" I yelled l, flying in front if it's face, distracting it.

I flew in a circle around it over and over again. My rainbow train confusing it. It didn't last long though. It swiped me out if the air and launched me into the sky. I caught myself. I was in training to be a Wonderbolt! I could handle small things like spinouts. I looked at AJ.

She jumped onto the back of the Timber Wolf, and was riding it like a bull. She tore out a stick, and poked its eyes with it. After that she propped open the mouth with the stick and lunged for its chest. She kicked it straight on. It fell into pieces.

My Timber Wolf was trying to get at Apple Jack. But I was having none of it! I flew high into the air, and went into a dive. I flew so fast towards the wolf that I started to break the sound barrier. I finally did. Out went a huge circular rainbow explosion behind me. I flew towards the wolf and crashed into him. He exploded into a million pieces. I flew to the ground beside Apple Jack.

"Good work Rainbow!" She said winking.

"You too AJ." I replied.

"We should seriously find a way out though." She said.

I nodded my agreement. And we were off.
