'The city lights are always so dim at night, everything looks completely different, it's as if something is always lurking; watching. Despite how many times I've been down this way...the feeling never changes'
As I look up, the moon was high in the sky, accompanied by illuminating stars. I was walking home, gazing up at the night sky lost in my own thoughts. Rapid footsteps come rushing. Suddenly I felt something sharp tear through me. Before my mind could piece it together, it struck again. Throwing me onto the hard concrete.
My head was spinning,vision blurred, but only for a second--there it was, looming over me, ready to end my suffering. Instinctively, I closed my eyes, all of my senses starting to fade. feeling the warm pool of blood grow larger with each passing second.
The last thing I heard was a loud gunshot and a voice. Coming to for a moment, I realized I was being carried. the voice from earlier, repeating something, worry clear in his voice. Finally, It all faded to black.
