The new baby was causing a lot of pain to Violet. The pregnancy would have been even more unbearable if not for her great daughter. 8 years old and she already cooked all the meals in the house, cleans up after her mother and even takes care of her. No doubt, this girl loves her mother, but no matter what she did , her mother was always in constant pain. Whenever she asked why, her mother would just say that it's her baby brother.
One Saturday Night, at around 10:30 pm, she woke up to the sounds of the her mother's cries of pain. She sighed as she walked to the medicine cabinet and brought out her mom's pain medication. Normally, her mom would take 2 pills,but the girl decided to take it up a little. She brought out seven pills. She diluted 5 in the orange juice her mother would drink and went to give her mother the medication.
She watched in anticipation as her mom took the 2 pills with the orange juice. If she tasted anything wrong with the orange juice, she didn't show it.
In 5 minutes, her mother's body had gone completely still, but her eyes were alert. "I'm gonna make the pain go away Momma" the girl said as she brought out the knife. " it might pinch a little Momma" as she carefully and neatly sliced open the part where the bulge was the biggest on her mother's belly.
There was a lot of blood.
She dropped the knife and plunged her tiny hands into the gaping wound. She felt around till she took hold of something and pulled.
In the girl's hands laid a small being,covered in blood, still connected to the woman with the umbilical cord . She smiled at her mother and asked "Is the pain gone now, Momma?" she got no response. "Momma, does it still hurt?" she asked again, this time with a little fear in her voice. No response. Tears started to blur her vision. She knelt next to her mother. "Momma?" "MOMMA!!! she cried at the top of her lungs and tears streaming down her cheek. "MOMMA PLEASE!!!" Still trying to wake her up. Shaking her body with all her might. "please, Momma please" she whispered. "Please"
She laid there with her eyes closed for who knows how long. She opened her eyes when she heard a sound.
She was too shocked to scream when the naked underdeveloped fetus stood up and stabbed her in the neck.
