He was now yours. And you were going to protect him from those butts. (I feel like i say asshole too much)
Then you suddenly realized.
A while ago, before you even met Karkat, you overheard a conversation.

"MUTANT!" They mocked,
*Flashback end*
They were talking about him.
-Time skip after school brought to you by Max, Nikki, and Neil!-
You had to walk home today so you invited him over again. He agreed then proceeded to text Kankri.
During the walk Karkat started shivering, while rubbing his black eye. You moved his hand away, wrapped your arm around him and held him closer.
"You shouldn't touch it."
When you got back home the heater still wasn't fixed, but you had mini ones strategically placed around the house. That made it seem warmer.
You grabbed him a pack of ice then the two of you went up to your room and you brought up earlier,
"So how long?" You started the conversation.
"WHAT?" He asked.
"How long have they been doing this to you?"
"EVER SINCE THEY FOUND OUT MY BLOOD COLOR."
He saw you were confused.
"BASICALLY FROM WHEN WE ALL CAME TO THIS SHITTY ASS PLANET."
"What!" You shouted.
"Humans at least," he muttered.
"But if we're talking about trolls thats a whole another story."
"Why didn't you ever tell me??!!"
"I didn't think you would care..." Tears began to form in his eyes.
"Of course i would care! I care about you!!"
"I love you Karkat!!!" You said to him.
"I really do!"
"I know" he started,
"Well, i know that now." He corrected himself, looking up at you with a faint smile on his lips. Tears in his eyes.
He started to cry his bright red tears. You hugged him.
You couldn't bear to see him like this, a tear rolled down your cheek.
He cried into your arms for what seemed like ages, you were ruffling his hair. (Don't touch the horns girly) After a while he stopped and looked up at you. You wiped away his tears.
It was getting unbearably hot in your room, so you went over to turn off the heater. You took sweatshirt to reveal your [insert fandom] t-shirt. You were half expecting him to take of his oversize cancer sweatshirt that he wore all the time. You waited for him to take it off, it made you hot just looking at him.
"What?" He asked innocently.
"Aren't you going to take your shirt off?"
"EXCUSE ME!!??" Not so calm anymore.
"Because its hot..."
"OH, no."
"Why not?"
"Aren't you hot?"
"WELL I MEAN-" He wiggled his eyebrows.
You cut him off by playfully punching his arm.
Dammit!

"I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME"
He really knows how to get to you.
"I do!" You replied quickly.
"SO?"
"So what?"
"AM I?"
"Are you what?"
"DO YOU THINK I AM?"
"I think your adorable"
"EXCUSE YOU!" He crossed his arms.
"I'M ADORABLOODTHIRSTY!"
