From now on you and Karkat planned to meet before and after school, during recess, and lunch. You couldn't bear to see him being beat like that again. You loved him.
"Bye [insert mom daughter nickname]!"
"Bye mom"
As you left the car you spotted him. He had his head down, focused on his wrist. When you approached him he quickly tugged down his sleeve.
"Hey!" You called out
"Hi" He said, but not in his usual tone.
"You ok?" You asked
He hesitated before responding
".... yeah. Just tired."
You didn't bother him after that and the two of you continued your walk to the doors.

It was time for lunch so you went to meet up with Karkat.
You found the table you would usually sit at and waited. Eventually you saw him coming and waved. He was visibly worried while gripping his forearm. He looked around the cafeteria, as soon as your eyes met he took off.
But why?
The rest of the day he tried to avoid you.
Why though? What did I do? Was it the kiss? Does he not like me?
You raced around the halls looking for him. You stopped when you heard muffled moans of pain, they were coming from a washroom, the boys washroom.
(Would trolls and humans use the same washroom? Or is that unsanitary? Well I just realized how racist that was)
You walked up to the door and knocked.
"You ok in there?"
No reply
You were tempted to tell someone but you knew what little help the staff would be.
"Do you need any help?"
Once again, silence from the other side of the door.
"I'm gonna go then."
"Bye"
You left the building and waited by the front but remembered how Karkat didn't want to be around you, so you went home by yourself.
