Every Day School Day

I was shaken awake by Cory,who seemed in a good mood.He was smiley and cheery.It was like we swapped or something.Toriel made scrambled eggs and toast,so Cory and I sat down with Asriel.After breakfast,we went to school.Amy,Alec,Mk,Aria,and Henry were all in the unused room our principal let us use.We had a table set up in the middle and a dozen chairs surrounding it.Amy was drawing something,Alec was chatting with Mk,while Aria and Henry joked among themselves."Cory!"Henry ran and hugged Cory,almost knocking him off his feet."Hi Henry,"Cory smiled."Where've you been?"Henry pulled away from him."On a trip,"He answered automatically.We all sat down."Ok,Amy,what did the principal say about UnderTours?"I asked her."He said it's okay—except it should be optional,"Amy reported.I nodded."Henry,how are you and Aria's hand-outs going?"I asked him."Only one fight broke out this week,"He reported,"Otherwise,we have enough kids for your Human&Monster buddy program,".I smiled.Cory raised his hand confusedly."Oh yeah,this Aria,Alec,and Amy,"I pointed at each as I said their name,"Amy is in charge of anything art,Alec is flier designer,Mk is still trying things out,Aria and Henry handle recruiting and stopping fights between monster and human kids,and I was voted leader,"."Cool,"Cory smiled."Do you want to join?"I asked.After all,I had kinda just forced him to come."Why else would I be here?"He shrugged."Ok,are you all right with meeting Ms.Gray with Asriel and I tomorrow-that's what we usually do so you can come with,"I told him."Sure,"He gave me a thumbs up.

"Alright,Aria and Henry,you start patrolling during lunch at 1:23,lunch starts at 12:59 so you should have enough time to eat?".

They nodded.

"Alec,you can ask the principal to send fliers home?".

He nodded.

"Amy,you can ask around during lunch for who wants to do the UnderTour,Mk,you can join her today,".

Everyone went as I gave them something to do.

"Asriel,Cory,we're going to recruit today since Aria and Henry are only stopping fights today,".

They nodded.We left the room and headed to the lunch room,where most people spent their time in the mornings.Jon was at one of the first tables,so we ignored him and went to the next.A first year girl with curly blonde hair named Tina joined,along with her straight haired blonde older sister,Suzy.

Then the bell rang,so Cory and I split from Asriel and went to art.Amy let us sit next to her again."Hello,"A woman with short orange hair,a pink tank top,a purple skirt,and a red blouse hurried into the room.She was my favorite teacher,Ms.Jelpz."Today were going to paint or draw our depiction of a werewolf,all I ask is that it has ears and a tail,"Ms.Jelpz beamed around at the room as she always did,"Now,who is my class helper this week?".Amy's hand shot up."Right Amy,can you pass out the papers-those who want to paint can use one of the easels I have set up,if you need more let me know!"She announced.I painted while Cory drew.He was surprisingly good at it,even though I've never seen him draw before.I tried painting so that Amy could give me tips like:

"Never close the eyes in a full circle,"

Or

"Make sure you remember a nose!".

But mine still didn't come out as great as hers.Ms.Jelpz never gave us grades though,she always says art is always different which is why it can't be compared,and you need to compare to decide one is better than the other.Cory had apparently drawn for the first time,which was shocking when I looked at his picture.It was of an actual werewolf,instead of the human with wolf ears and tails most of the class had done.

Next was a new class,Monster Studies.It helped humans learn more about monsters.Its a required class for first years,but otherwise its optional.Cory and I are in our third year,so we had trouble getting into the class.We sat down in front,and Aria sat next to us.Henry was in the seat across from her."Have any fights happened?"I asked Aria.She nodded,"Just the normal-some first year boy calling a first year bunny girl stupid,"."Any new recruits?"Henry asked us.I was about to reply when Mr.Fratzenager,or Mr.Fratz,came into the room.Mr.Fratz was a man in his mid-30s,who had just applied this year.He had brown hair with gray streaking across every now and then,and always wore a button up shirt with a tie and denim jeans."Today-"He started writing on the chalk board,"-We are going to learn about the Human 'Soul',".He stepped away from the board so that we could see neat handwriting forming the word "Soul",with a heart sitting above.
