-Six Years Later-
*Harry's POV*
I woke up to the sound of Louis talking on the phone with someone. I rubbed my eyes tiredly and felt around for my phone. When I found it, I turned it on and checked the time.
7:57? What is he doing up this early? I thought.
I sat up and realized that I was on the couch. I stretched before getting up and walking towards the kitchen, where Louis seemed to be. I stopped at the doorway, listening.
"I don't know, El. I still haven't told Harry." Louis said into the phone.
Told me what? We tell each other everything...
"I know, and I'm sorry. But I just..." He paused, sighing. "Look, I'll think about it, okay?" He turned and I could see his face.
It looked like he was crying, but he smiled a bit.
"Yeah, I'll visit soon. Don't die on me yet." He said, seemingly half-joking, half-serious. "Okay. I'll see you soon, love. Bye."
He hung up the phone and tossed his phone onto the counter. He leaned onto the counter on his elbows and put his head in his hands. I frowned, wondering why he was so upset.
"Boo, what's wrong?" I asked, walking in.
He jumped slightly.
"Haz, I didn't know you were up."
I went over to him and pulled him into a hug.
"What's wrong?" I repeated. "You're crying."
He pulled away slightly and smiled, wiping his face.
"I'm fine. It's just," He sighed. "Eleanor is in the hospital."
Oh. I thought. I didn't know he still kept in touch with her. She and Louis had dated six years ago, when we were still in high school.
"What happened?" I asked.
"She was diagnosed with breast cancer awhile ago, and now..." He looked down. "Harry, her chances of living are close to non-existent."
I felt kind of bad. I know they were really close in school, and they dated for about a year. I was kind of mean to her because I thought she was just using Louis for his popularity. I still don't know why they broke up, but I was happy when they did. But now... this is just horrible.
"It'll be okay, Lou." I said softly.
He gave me a pained smile before fully pulling away.
"Do you want some breakfast?" He asked.
I nodded. "Do you want to go out?"
He smiled. "Yes! Oh, there's this new café near Zayn's parlor and he said we have to go." He said in an excited tone.
I chuckled. "Alright. Get dressed and we can go."
He grinned and ran upstairs, with me following behind.
That child is so bipolar.

"Hey, Lou?" I asked as Louis and I were walking back to our shared flat.
"Hm?" He hummed in response.
"I heard you when you were talking to Eleanor. Well, just the last of it. What were you talking about?" I saw him tense. "What aren't you telling me?"
He swallowed nervously.
"It's nothing, Harry."
I frowned at that.
"It's obviously not 'nothing'."
He sighed and stopped walking.
"I'll tell you soon, okay? I'm just... not ready."
I sighed and nodded.
If he's not comfortable telling me, I won't push him. He'll tell me eventually.
We continued walking until we reached the flat. Louis took out his phone and frowned.
"Liam tried calling earlier."
I went over to him.
"Did he leave a message?"
Louis nodded, playing the voice message.
"Hey, Louis. I need to talk to you. It's about Niall. Call me as soon as you can." Liam's voice sounded rushed.
I frowned. "Do you think he's okay?"
"I don't know, I'm calling Liam." Louis said as he dialed Liam's number.
I nodded and went to the kitchen, sitting at the island counter. Liam was a good friend of ours. He was always very protective of his boyfriend, Niall. If anything happened to Niall, Liam would go to the ends of the Earth to help him. It's no wonder he's freaking out now, something must have happened.
"Oh my God, Harry!" Louis yelled, running into the kitchen.
"What? What's wrong?" I asked, worried.
"Niall... He's..." He couldn't seem to form complete sentances.
"Louis, tell me what happened." I said calmly.
"Niall's... pregnant." He said slowly.
I stared at him, wide-eyed, my mouth dropped open.
"Seriously?" I asked in shock.
He nodded, not able to form words.
"Is that even possible?" I asked.
He shrugged lightly.
"It's rare, but it's possible."
I let out a breath and leaned back in my chair.
"Holy shit."
