"Last night", I repeated, breathlessly.

He nodded, studying my pale blue eyes with his own brown ones.

He smirked.

"We had some pretty dope sex, hey?" He laughed, attempting to lighten the mood.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head, a grin plastered to my face.

"Anyways that was last night. Today is a new day, got any plans?" He asked me, suddenly.

I honestly didn't see that one coming. Was he asking in out of politeness or curiousity? Or perhaps he was asking because he wanted to partake in an activity together.

"Well I haven't really thought that one through. I'm supposed to go to the carnival with a few of my friends later today. But I was hoping to shower and change first."

Logan nodded, smirking more than before.

"Sounds like a plan. Mind if I come?"

It didn't exactly register in my mind what exactly he was asking me.

I just stared at him silently.

"Hey if you just wanna chill with your friends, that's fine too", he laughed, evidently embarrassed.

"Oh no, no, no! Of course you can come! I don't think Sawyer or Declan would mind. I just wasn't expecting that, that's all", I exclaimed, feeling bad for not initially answering.

He nodded. "Consider it a date."

I stood in the shower, the hot water rushing over my back, my mind racing. I still hadn't managed to comprehend the night I previously had, never mind the fact that Logan would be attending the carnival with me.

It was all just so much occurring all at once. I didn't know how to feel about it.

Sure, I was excited, but also nervous and I was unable to consciously figure out just why he wanted to come. Was he into me, was that it? Maybe. He did say that it was a date, after all.

But was it a date date, or a date? Or was he just saying that? The world would never know. I had a plethora of questions that would remain unanswered for the time being.

"You're overthinking things", I said aloud, annoyed with myself.

Suddenly a knock on the door startled me, causing me to shriek a tad. Then I heard a laugh. It was my mother.

"Hunny, you've been in the shower for well over 25 minutes, are you planning on coming out this millennium?" she asked lightly, sounding hilariously concerned.

"Yes, mom. I just like long showers", I mumbled, turning off the water.

Stepping out of the shower, shivering like crazy, I draped a towel over my body, sighing to myself.

After the shower I decided on wearing a pair of heavily distressed, light wash jeans, a plain white t-shirt with a flannel tied around my waste. Perfect outfit for a day at the carnival.

The song of a phone ringing disrupted my thoughts, and I ran over to my phone which was placed on my white bedding. Fumbling with the mobile device, I swiftly answered it.

"Hello?"

"Chandler, you FINALLY answered. Took you long enough", said Sawyer, sarcastically. Of course it was her.

"Sorry, I just finished getting dressed", I muttered.

"Oooh! I just finished getting ready myself. Anyways, Declan is coming to pick me up soon to go to the carnival. You're still down, right?"

"Yes but-"

"Excellent! I'll text you when we're on our way. Byeee bitch!" And with that Sawyer hung up.

I sighed, putting my phone in my back pocket. I guess I would have to wait to tell her about Logan, I already knew that she wouldn't have any issue with him tagging along. I remembered that Logan gave me his number right after he dropped me off at my house and asked for mine as well. I decided to text him, just to let him know what was going on.

"Hey, My friend's are picking me up to go to the carnival in a bit. Do you want me meet us there later?"

A few minutes later, he replied with: "Sounds good to me. Can't wait."

Declan's beat up vehicle pulled into my driveway, and I hastily booked it out the door, hopping into the backseat on the driver's side.

Sawyer immediately turned around to face me. "Oooh la la, you look cute. love the flannel", she said enthusiastically.

"Thanks, you don't look too bad yourself", I teased.

Sawyer's fiery red hair was braided, and she wore a bodysuit with a pair of denim cutoffs.

"Oh yeah, um. You know Logan, the guy from last night? Well he's going to meet us at the carnival later."

"OOOOOH, how exciting!" Sawyer squealed.

"Boy toy?" Declan asked, going me a pointed look, his eyebrows raised in amusement.

"Well, uh, I-"

"I'd say he's more of a possible love interest", Sawyer stated matter of factly.

"Sawyer", I said, giving her a glare.

She sighed. "Oh! I'm only kidding, relax, Chand. It IS a possibility, though. Be open minded, okay?"

"I suppose, but I've only known him for-well, not even 24 hours yet."

"Just get to know him and go from there. You don't have to make any important decisions right now", Declan mumbled, clearly annoyed with our bickering. "Also, don't forget that you babies have to go on the drop of doom with me."

Sawyer shook her head. "I never agreed to that."

"I don't really give a shit, it's happening. You have to put on your big girl panties at some point, Sawyer", he said snickering.

Sawyer rolled her eyes, "Yeah, and you need to get your head out of your ass, it's been stuck up there for far too long." The two then began play fighting and I couldn't help but laugh.

What losers.

My heart raced rapidly as we entered the carnival grounds. The sounds of laughter filled the air, as many lined up to play a variety of games, while others waited in line to get scrumptious delicacies that were exclusive to the yearly carnival. It wasn't overly busy yet, but by mid-afternoon I knew that the festival would be packed as usual. Sawyer was rambling about all of the food, while Declan was urging us to go to the ticket booth so that we could go on rides first, but I was distracted by my vibrating phone in my jean pocket.

Picking it up, I noticed a test from Logan that read: "Are you there? I'll be coming shortly."

I replied with: "Just got here, text me when you arrive and I'll meet you somewhere."

Putting my device away, I couldn't help but smile.
