"Shinako!" I heard my ally's voice ring throughout my quarters.

"What is it that you want, Arthur?" I sighed, as I stored away my recent assignment.

"God has asked to see you," he said, as I swiftly brushed past his figure. My eyebrows rose after he said this, and I continued to make my way down to God's throne room. Why would God want to see me? This must be very important, because he rarely gives me direct orders. Its either Arthur or Jesus' job to do that.

Once I had appeared at the front of the doors, his arc angels stood to the side without hesitation. Pretty much all of God's angels know who I am. I am the highest of the highest after all, everyone knows not to mess with me. I don't even get pushed lower because I'm a girl, I actually am the only female part of his army. The other women in heaven are more likely to become guardian angels, not arc angels.

As I was proudly walking down the aisle, I was greeted by a powerful voice.

"Shinako, just the person that I wanted to see," he boomed. I didn't flinch, since I was sort of used to loud men, and I bowed before facing him again. Once I lifted my head, I noticed Michael, his favorite Arc angel, giving me an unusual glare. I tried to get my mind off of him and turn my attention towards God again.

"Yes Lord. And what may be the occasion that you have asked to see my presence?" I asked, staring him straight in the eye.

"Shinako, my child. I have decided to assign my best warrior with a very important mission," he started. I nodded my head for him to continue." Do you recall the woman we talked about long ago, who was bearing the spawn of Satan?"

"Yes Lord, I do recall that woman," I answered.

"We were told that the woman was eliminated, and so were the children, but some sources have told me that the children are indeed still living," he recalled, making my eyes become wide. I think I know where this is going.

"I think you already know what I am leading up to," he said, almost as if reading my mind. Actually, I think he did, he is God after all.

"Yes. You want me to eliminate the children," I responded. I looked back up to him and saw him shaking his head.

"Actually, there is only one child. The other one does not bear the demonic powers," he informed.

"Oh, I see," I murmured.

"Now, be off child. I will send Michael to tell you the rest of the information," he said, gesturing towards the door.

"Yes Lord!" I bowed, before turning around and leaving his presence. As I was exiting the room, I could still feel that same pair of eyes from before watching me closely. What does Michael want?

I knew that on the outside, I acted as if there was nothing new about this mission, but on the inside, I was shouting with joy. Finally, God has given me the chance to make better of myself by killing the spawn of Satan. It's not as much of an honor as killing the Demon King himself, but its close enough.

As I was walking back to my chambers, I noticed Arthur Auguste Angel leaning on my door frame. I tried to walk past his figure without being noticed, but his indigo eyes trailed my body.

"So, what was so important that he had to tell you in person?" I heard his low voice speak up. I looked back to him and his eyes were still closed, as he was still leaning on the door frame, arms crossed. I tried to stay cool and collected, like my usual self, but I couldn't help but feel rather excited about this. After all, he is a close friend. Might as well as tell somebody.

"He has assigned me to kill the son of Satan," I blurted, as a smile grew wider on my face. I couldn't hold it in anymore, I was really happy about this mission. I noticed his eyes slightly open as he slowly walked towards me.

"Such a hard job for my delicate flower," he smirked, wrapping his arms around my waist. I put my hands over his to push them off of my stomach.

"Oh Arthur, you never will give up, will you?" I smiled, as I finally escaped his entanglement of arms.

"You know, just because I was given the ability to love, doesn't mean that you can't either," he whispered in my ear. I took a step back from him, because of how uncomfortable I felt. This guy has been chasing me down since day 1, and to think that I finally thought he was done with his plan. Besides, I'm like 16 and he's 20. Did I mention that I was also the youngest angel to ever become a part of God's elite?

"That's the point Arthur. God didn't give me that ability so that I can focus on what is really important, not you!"I yelled. He looked taken a back by my words, and I did feel a little bit guilty about it. It's not like he can't handle it, after all, he is a general, but I never thought that I would say something so horrible to someone. I just can't be with anybody, ever. I reached for my door knob, and brought the door closer to him.

"I'm sorry Arthur, but there's no love in Heaven," and with that, I slowly shut the door as he stood there. I wonder when he will leave? I guess I should return to writing my assignment.

A/N: Yes!!! This was the first chapter to Ao no Exorcist, or Blue Exorcist. Before I say anything else, I know that I got the details all wrong! Like, there's no Heaven in their world..... but in my version there is. It just makes more sense for me, because I believe in my religion that if there's Satan, there's God. I don't know why, I just like it better that way.

And in my version, Arthur Auguste Angel is a real angel with wings and everything! Okay, as the story progresses, I will put a lot of RinxShinako, because that's what this story is all about. I promise!! And if you continue reading, you are awesome!!( ^ω^ )
