Chapter 2

Shinako's P.O.V

I was preparing my things to go down to Earth, when I heard a knock on my door. I put down my clothes and walked towards the continuous knocking. Opening the door, I found Michael scowling down at me.

"God sent me to tell you the next set of directions," he murmured, pushing me aside and inviting himself in.

"Well come in then," I muttered under my breath. I was slightly alarmed as I heard the screeching of my desk chair against the hard wooden floor as Michael dragged it out. As soon as he sat down, he crossed his legs and continued to give me that strange look from before.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I pouted. He never does this!

Pushing my question aside, he continued to stare and began to talk again."He wants you to know, that you are to be attending True Cross Academy in order to find this boy. Since you are probably the same age as him, you will have no problem to pass as an earthly teenager," he stated. I rolled my eyes as he said this, wishing that I was older then my modern state. Of course I act older than my age, but there is no helping that I am still a teenager in his eyes. Wait... maybe that's it! Maybe that's why he gives me that look. I turned my attention back to Michael, who was droning on and on about class.

"And you are too arrive to class on ti-..." his sentence was cut short as he caught my gaze. I was returning that uncomfortable glare, and he didn't seem too happy about it either.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" he asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

"What do you mean?" I snickered, furrowing my eyebrows also. He just chuckled to himself, and lifted himself from my chair. I felt my body tense up as I noticed his tall figure looming over mine. Suddenly, I felt a strong grip surround my arm, then my body weight shifted as I was swiftly pulled from my seat.

I struggled to escape his grip, but it was too strong. He pulled me towards him, as I was forced to stare into his dilated pupils.

"This is all a game too you, isn't it?" he questioned, through gritted teeth. I felt my jaw clench as I stared at him with hatred in my eyes."I knew that you weren't up to this, I knew that you were still merely a child!" he spat. As soon as he said this, I felt an enormous wave of strength run throughout my body, and used this to my advantage and broke free.

The anger inside of me grew and grew as I heard his hurtful words echoing throughout my mind.

'I knew you weren't up to this, I knew that you were still merely a child!'

Out of hatred, my hand moved on its own, and I felt it make contact with the side of his face. I had just slapped him! I saw his eyes go wide, as my hand print became pink and clear on his face.

"I may be a girl, but I can assure you.... that I am more of a man then you'll ever be!" I snapped. I felt my chest heaving because of how shocked and tired I was. But Michael on the other hand, just smiled, and seemed amused by my reaction. Why is he smiling? I just slapped him in the face!

"You are definitely something, Shinako," he smirked, turning towards the door. I watched in astonishment as he just walked away. How is he not mad about this. All of a sudden, he stopped before he could exit my room, and turned in my direction again.

"I almost forgot. You are to not attack the suspected demon, unless you have full proof. When his blue flames unleash, that is the time of attack," he instructed, pointing towards me. Why is he like this? Why is he so calm? I am really nervous now. Is he probably planning revenge or something like that?

"Oh, and Shinako," I heard his familiar voice ring, bringing me back to Earth.( I mean Heaven ) "Please, complete this mission. If you don't, then I will, and I can assure you that I will get it done. I will beat you Shinako, no matter what it takes." And with that, I watched him shut the door, leaving me alone and terrified.

Pulling up to the academy in the taxi, I caught a very great view of the building. It seemed like a very beautiful and expensive school. I can't believe something as dazzling as this exists on Earth. As soon as I exited the car, a whole swarm of people were scrambling into the building through the doors. I noticed that all of them had a uniform, and that reminded me that I had to change into my own uniform as well.

Wandering around the campus, I finally spotted a bathroom in the distance. Occupying a stall, I quickly slipped into my tight uniform, and tried to pull down my way to high skirt. I peeked out of the bathroom, and noticed that none of the other girls skirts were to high, or that there shirts were too tight. Whoever bought me this is going to pay for getting a size too small.

I awkwardly made my way over to the entrance hall, and couldn't help but feel every boys eyes on me. Why does this have to happen to me, an angel especially.

As soon as I walked through the front doors, I couldn't help but gawk in awe seeing moving stairs! People were moving on them, but without even using their legs! Is that even possible?

"Hey! I know that this is too fricken impossible to be a school, but are you gonna move or not?" I heard an annoyed voice complain. I swiftly turned around to find a now blushing teenager, with messy black hair and dark blue eyes." Umm, I mean... need any help?" he stuttered, scratching the back of his head.

"Yes!" I answered."How do I get up here?" I asked, pointing up and giving him a confused glance.

"Just step on the stair," he said, taking my hand and pulling me with him. I found my footing and looked back up to him. This was amazing. When we finally reached the top, we stood to the side away from traffic.

"I'm Rin... Rin Okumura," he stated.

"Thank you, I'm Shinako, Shinako Tsumura," I thanked him, introducing myself as well. I used the last name that God had given me for this mission, for I never really had one. He smiled and blushed harder.

"Umm...do you wanna explore around the school with me?" he hastily asked.

"Sure," I simply answered. I watched a smile tug his lips, and felt a smile tug at my lips too. I've never met boys this nice before. Most of the guys I've ever known are either too serious about their job, or too attached to God. Earthly boys are so different then angels though.This is good, now he can show me around the campus. If I know the ground he walks on, its just one step closer to finding the spawn of Satan.

"So, I'm guessing you have been to this place before, if you know the campus," I implied.

"Nope! Today is my first day too!" he piped, causing my smile to fade."Like I said, we're going to 'explore' the campus, not guide you around the campus," he smirked. I mentally face palmed myself for going along with this idiot's plan."Well, don't just stand there.... come on Shinako!" he yelled, practically dragging me through the hallways. This should be interesting.
