It had been a couple of days since penny's 'slight' breakdown on the roof to Jax but it was now Friday and also the date of Penny's seventeenth Birthday and she was praying no one knew.
Her birthday was not something she despised, she just did not like celebrating it, but now she was one year away from being a legal adult and that all that mattered to her.
One year. Three hundred and sixty five days.
She can handle that.
But then she realised that even if she wasn't celebrating her birthday she would still have to go the Friday night party and she was not that fussed if she was honest. All she had to do was find another bottle of tequila and she could have her own party in a room and hopefully she could convince 'juice' she thinks his name was to give her some weed and she was all set.

It was a couple of hours before the party and no one had anything about her birthday, no one uttered a single happy birthday aside from a few friends from school who sent her texts and she loved it.
But she was also worried.
The way everyone spoke about Gemma, she was worried that she somehow had planned a surprise party or something and that scared her. She hated surprises.
As if Gemma new what she was thinking she pulled Penny aside,
"I know it's your birthday but don't worry I haven't planned anything tonight's just a normal Friday night party so don't worry"
Seeing the relief of Penny's face Gemma cracked a smile
"Look we did get you something but it won't be ready till about Sunday you can have it after family dinner"
Nodding at Gemma she did something that surprised both of them without thinking she went and her hugged her.
Realising what she had just done she took and awkward step back
"Thanks Gemma, by the way do you know where juice is?"
"He'll be somewhere out back baby girl"
"Okay well thanks again for not throwing me a party I appreciate it I'll see you later on" smiling at her before walking off before turning back around as Gemma called her name
"No drinking a bottle tequila to yourself this time!"
Laughing "I make no promises" retorted Penny before waltzing off to find Juice

After finally finding juice she proceeded towards, making her presence known to him she did a small wave
"You're Juice right?"
"Yeah what can I do for you?"
"Kenny said to talk to you about getting some weed?"
"Yeah no can do" juice responded
"Why not?"
"You're the VPs daughter he'll murder me!"
"Look please it's my seventeenth birthday, I only want three things today holding up one finger - alcohol
Holding up two fingers- weed
Holding up three fingers - my first tattoo, which reminds me I need you to point me towards happy, so please pretty please, I won't tell Jax I promise!"
Doing her best puppy dog face she could he rolled his eyes at her
