As the weeks passed Penny had calmed down as the new school year approached, she was smart with an IQ of 165, she was basically Lydia Martin smart, so she aiming for a scholarship to a good university she wanted to make something of herself, preferably for art.
Her relationship with Gemma had grown, I think Gemma finally realised that she was seventeen year old girl who needed somewhat rules, which Penny was not opposed to as they weren't that bad, a decent curfew, text if going to be late, don't get arrested and get good grades when back at school all of which was doable.
She was also happy she did not bring up Kenny.

Her friendship with Kenny had grown, even without the sex they could possibly be considered friends now.
Friends who liked to sleep with each other, with no feelings whatsoever.

Now her and Jax.
They argued over stupid stuff, laughed at silly jokes, made fun of people even, they had both grown a lot.
It was a Thursday night and Jax had invited her over for dinner, this was going to be awkward as fuck.
Pulling up to the house - did she forget to mention that Gemma had bought her a car for her birthday she had practically screamed in her ear and hugged her again when she got the keys - she proceeded to exit the car and walk up to the front door knocking twice as she bounced on the balls of feet with nerves.
The door opened revealing 8 year old Abel, fuck Jax had some strong genes, even with different mothers and nearly 10 years between them you could see the similarities. It freaked her out because he was technically her brother well half brother, and he wasn't her only one.
Hearing Tara come up behind him she scolds her
"Abel what did we say about answering the door!"
"To let you or dad do it" before turning to Penny and waving "Hi I'm Abel"
"Hi Abel I'm Penny, Hi Tara"
The older women looked at the young girl before inviting her in only for Abel to grab hold of her hand and dragging her in to show her his toys, only to be interrupted by a five year old coming over to join them.
Tara was amazed at how quickly Abel and Thomas had taken to Penny. She was just hoping they would not ask to many questions.
That was how Jax had found them, Penny sitting cross legged on the floor with Thomas in her lap and him and Abel showed them their toys as Tara cooked in the kitchen. It brought a smile to his face.
Once they sat down for dinner, Penny had many questions towards her, Tara cleared her throat
"So you're going into your senior year?"
"Yeah but I'm hoping to graduate early, I could've graduated last year but I want to increase gpa"
"What's your gpa now?"
"4.5"
Hearing this caused both Tara and Jax to choke on their drinks
