"You can open your eyes now." I take a deep breath looking at Michael who was smiling at me over his shoulder. He was stopped in a driveway that was in the not so amazing part of two. Well that's the nice way of calling it. Most people called it the shit part of town, where all of the gangs hang out. I couldn't say anything myself, I knew there was a lot of kids from school that lived here, but with how Michael acted and looked I didn't expect him to be from this part of town.
"It's not a lot. But it's home for now, I guess." I give Michael a smile as he helps me off of his bike and hand him his helmet. He sets it down on another bike, making me gasp. I looked around the garage, finding three different bikes, and two perfect cars. It was amazing. And I'm sorry to say this, but this is not the place in town that I'd keep these kinds of nice things in.
"I'm sorry, but aren't you worried that someone's gonna steal these?" I ask Michael running my fingertips along the sleek Firebird.
"Yes, and no. The only reason we're in this part of town is because my dad took a lot from us when he left me and my mom. But my grandfather recently passed away, so we're going to be moving once my mom pays off some things with some of the money. We've already found a new house, she's just paying for it."
"Oh. When are you moving?" I kinda prayed that he wasn't moving away from here, I liked having Michael as a friend.
