i remember it like it was just yeasterday,
maybe it was
hand in hand we stood steady,
a blur of fizzy Polaroid daydreams,
swimming soundly in each other's eyes,
drowning in your words.

what even is this thing we call time,
a measly human invention
used by the boring who
find solace in the seconds.
all i need is your heartbeat
steady as we stand i listen.

it was perfect pathetic fallacy,
the sun sighing with me,
the rain heaving with every breath,
the wind sweeping me off my feet
just like you did,
s

wirling like my stomach,
butterflies

eyes sealed shut our fingers intertwine,
for how long i don't know
but what does it matter as time is nothing
i just stare with my eyes shut
hazed.
