Fionna's POV

FIONNA!!!"

"What?!" I blurt surprised.

"What's wrong girl?" Cake asked, worried. "I've been calling you for like ten minutes."

"Oh." I slide down my chair.

I was staring off into space, trying to figure out what had happened earlier today. I was thinking so hard that I forgot that I was having dinner with Cake.

Cake frowned and cuddled next to me, wrapping her tail around my waist. "What's wrong baby cakes?"

I huff, lifting my bangs for just a second. "Nothing."

Cake gave me her "look."

It was like she was staring into my mind junk and stuff.

I started to sweat drop. No.... must.... resist....

Ugh.

"Fine." I say throwing my hands up.

Cake smiled and looked at me expectantly.

"It'sjustthatGumballlikesmeandsodoes MarshallbutIdon'tknowwhoIlikeback." I explain quickly.

Cake stares at me.

For a second I can hear the crickets chirping outside.

"WHAT IN THE FLIPPIN WORLD HAPPENS WHEN I'M NOT AROUND!!!!!" She screams.

Cake takes shallow breaths, trying to calm herself down from her outburst. "Fionna, did all this happen today.

"Umm, Yeah." I say nervously.

Cake huffs and stares at me. "Well? Tell me the story."

I tell her about today at the lake and Gumball disguised as Marshall. The confession from Gumball and the potion I bought for Marshall. Marshall's confession and the peck on my nose. My voice gets more intense throughout the story and Cake's eyes are bulging by the time I finish.

"Wow." Cake whispers.

"Yeah....." I sigh.

"Here's what you do babycakes, you go get a good night sleep and we'll figure this out in the morning. Mkay?"

I nod, tired, and trudge up the stairs while cake does the dishes.

Stupid royalty. Messing with my mind junk. I punch my calendar and knock it down. I immediately feel bad and set it back onto my nightstand.

Wait.

There's something written in for tomorrow...

I squint in the dark to make out the scrawled letters.

Oh dog poop.

Tomorrow's Guys Night.

Great.

Just amazing.

Fantastic.

I grit my teeth and keep myself from ripping up the calendar and jumping out the window.

It was gonna be a miracle if I could get a second of sleep tonight.
