My Lady Fair
I feel your hue, is tinted blue
And your eyes have grown dim,
Your step, though true, is lagging too
And your smile’s turning grim,
But don’t despair, my lady fair
For your kingdom still needs you,
Be fully aware, of how we care
And come to us a brighter view,
Pull your steady gaze from the growing haze
Allow your heart to fill with life,
Push away the grays ebbing into your days
Shuck off that dreary, laden strife,
Awaken to the dream, let those blue eyes gleam
Welcome my humble embrace,
Bask long in the beam, of the Suns subtle stream
And your troubles we’ll efface,
Then we’ll dance amongst the satin clouds
Oblivious to the awe struck crowds!
